Hillary Rodham Clinton said Tuesday the Confederate battle flag should not be displayed “anywhere,” weighing in as South Carolina lawmakers seek to remove it from the grounds of their statehouse.

The Democratic presidential candidate called the deadly shootings of nine black church members in Charleston, South Carolina, “an act of racist terrorism perpetrated in a house of God.”

Clinton called the Confederate flag a “symbol of our nation’s racist past that has no place in our present or our future. It shouldn’t fly there. It shouldn’t fly anywhere.” …

The Republican party and conservatives will be stronger once they rid themselves of the hate, racism, and bigotry associated with the Confederate flag. Clinging to it is absolutely indefensible. Democrats learned that years ago, time for Republicans and Conservatives to put substance to our not being, even symbolically, the party of hate, racism, and bigotry by also getting rid of the flag. As a Republican and conservative I will be quite happy to not have to explain away those that can’t realize the indefensibility of defending the flag and splitting hairs over that that means. Pretend it is for heritage, but the heritage everyone else sees is the ignorance of hate, racism, and bigotry.

Getting rid of the Confederate flag will not empower the cultural and economic mess created and promoted by the Democrats, it will instead remove a barrier from people realizing there is a Republican and conservative alternative.

I say “first day” because it took 2 days for them to write the order. In other words, the second he crossed into that Oval office for the first time the very first thing he did was immediately run to the phone to protect his Islamo bros. A vast majority of Republicans are not hate-filled, bigoted, racists. The same cannot be said of Democrats. It is, in my opinion, their distinguishing approach to everything. But until the Confederate flag is removed from the equation it will be hard to convince anyone that today’s Republicans are not the current party of hate, bigotry, and racism, even if only symbolically.
