Nearly a week after announcing he was running for president, Donald Trump has made it official and filed his paperwork with the Federal Election Commission.
The one-page statement of candidacy was hand-delivered to the FEC on Monday. Trump had 15 days to send the document to the agency.
Based on the document, the business tycoons campaign committee will be called Donald J. Trump for President, Inc.

Stop imitating lefties on DU. The first thing the lefties always do is personal attacks based on appearance.
Besides, I have seen the host on TV asking Trump is he wears a toupee and Trump let the host examine his hair, and the host admitted it was his own hair!
Trump may have his own money but he is dishonest. He is not a conservative, he is a liberal and his campaign is a farce. You know that’s true.
If it came to choosing between Trump and Hillary in November 2016, I am going for Trump, without a shred of doubt.
I fear the candidates who are in the pockets of their rich sugar daddy donors. They will sell the middle class down the river without missing a beat.
And if you don’t think liberals won’t sell out Americans you need to ask yourself, why would a liberal who claims to be a supporter of the Second Amendment also support banning guns and support longer waiting periods before one can buy them? That, my friend, is a sell out.
Bringing jobs back from China and japan is not conservative?
But pushing a trade pacts with Pacific rim countries where labor rates are way less than USA is conservative?
Frankly, I worry more about my friends and children unable to find jobs which have moved to China more than which type of guns they can buy. So long as I can have my shotgun and a my trusty Glock, I am fine.
It saddens me that all of a sudden principles are thrown away and his supporters defend his cronyism, his support of Democrats - not any Des but the worst ones!
I bet he is also a social liberal to boot.
Nothing about him makes me want to support him.
Yesterday I told you about my husband's response when I mentioned Trump's support on Free Republic. He couldn't believe it. He said, "If our side will fall for Donald Trump, we're all sunk." Needless to say, I agree.
"Interestingly, one of his supporters finally admitted to me that Trump is a liberal and that having him in the race can only serve to pull votes from Bush. A valid point, but the bigger issue is a Trump supporter finally admitted Trump is a liberal. :-)"
You found one! That's good going!
Every time I've pressed folks about Trump's liberalism has resulted in crickets. The latest go-round occurred in Freepmail. When I asked the person if it was all right for a conservative to vote for a liberal, he said I had it all wrong. So I asked him to explain it to me.
That was days ago, and I'm still waiting...
Check back at my posts. I specifically said he wouldn’t file the financial information. I guess since people called him on the fact that he wasn’t a real candidate, he decided to do this. Call me back when he unveils his financial info.
Looks like. :-)
Bush cannot be allowed to move forward. Not for any reason.
He is just like every other poseur, he will say what he has to say to try to convince he gullible he is one of them. Romney did the same. But one just need look at his history. The man has said he was pro abortion. He has said he supports banning guns. His positions "evolve" as he sees the need to fool people into believing he is a conservative. Romney did the same thing and, for the most part, was rejected at FR. This fraud Trump does it and he fools the masses. Wow.
Not me.
Principles are what I measure with, not personalities.
I agree. Trump is about as unprincipled as one can get; a loudmouthed television personality who, in spite of being worth billions values his ego as his biggest asset. I eagerly await the day when he makes a complete fool of himself in a debate, so long as he doesn’t completely embarrass the party and help Hillary.
The party has completely embarrassed itself plenty of times, it doesn’t need Trumps help there.
That’s true, but the stakes have never been higher. After 8 years of the Marxist Kenyan, this country won’t survive a president Hillary.
Trump should announce he will be happy to face the same type of scrutiny from the mainstream media as will Hillary Clinton.
