Nearly a week after announcing he was running for president, Donald Trump has made it official and filed his paperwork with the Federal Election Commission.
The one-page statement of candidacy was hand-delivered to the FEC on Monday. Trump had 15 days to send the document to the agency.
Based on the document, the business tycoons campaign committee will be called Donald J. Trump for President, Inc.

Yawn.
Let me know when he has state campaign organizations in most/all viable states. (i.e. not Taxachussetts, DC, etc.) No state organizations = Not series, as far as I’m concerned. Same goes for Ben Carson, and really, the rest of them.
From yesterday: Karl Rove: Ignore Donald Trump Until He Files Paperwork
Yes, I remember the filing steps being mentioned, before. And, I think I read that theory, somewhere. Maybe here :) Wouldn’t surprise me. Time will tell.
Ha ha ha ha ha ha!
I haven’t heard of any state campaign organizations, but I haven’t really looked.
I do know EVERY declared candidate has sent me their “Friend” (donation request) emails....except Trump. Scott Walker emails me daily about his signed book...lol...
I haven't...I'm right here. Looks like he filed, huh?
Let's see how long this all lasts. ;)
Yep...the show may have just begun ;-)
Trump is on with Greta right NOW.
Rasmussen has a poll up which, being a nonsubscriber, I can't access. But the title is "The Donald is Trumped by Most of GOP Field".
Talking about TPA and how nobody in the senate should vote for it tomorrow. Especially with Obama in charge. He will be on a Greta talk podcast on itunes Wednesday. lol! I give him this much..he will be all over the media here in Florida. Romney would not go on any conservative radio talk shows and only ran a million bashing ads against conservatives. It is going to be interesting. Trump made the point some people did not think he would file and now he has. He is very quick to strike out on twitter against anyone who bashes him.
Might not last too long, though. We shall see.
Exactly! After reading all the posts on FR proclaiming Trump would never file, this was a shocker today, that Trump actually filed official papers for running as a presidential candidate.
Interestingly, one of his supporters finally admitted to me that Trump is a liberal and that having him in the race can only serve to pull votes from Bush. A valid point, but the bigger issue is a Trump supporter finally admitted Trump is a liberal. :-)
Walker better announce before the August debate on Fox.
I believe will.
Looks like he even has an official website...
I’d take Trump over Kasich, who’s on Greta, now.
Yes. Like I said (upthread)...time will tell ;)
Since I look at glass as half full, I look for positive aspects of EVERY candidate. I hate being a one candidate, one issue voter.
I can easily posit that EVERY candidate has positives and negatives. No one is pure as wind driven white snow. Not Trump, Not Walker, Not Cruz, and not John Ellis.
My efforts go into pointing out positives of many candidates. Even George Ellis Bush, who is near bottom of my preference list has some positives. Florida did pretty well when he was governor for 8 years. But he is openly pro-amnesty to illegals, and that pushes him to the bottom of my list.
The biggest positive about Trump? He does not need rich sugar daddy’s ordering him to vote on trade pacts. He can be his own man. He seems to be America First type candidate.
