A 91-year-old Ocala woman was beaten by two suspects who broke into her residence early Saturday morning, according to the Ocala Police Department.
Ocala police said it appears the burglars entered the elderly womans northeast Ocala home through a back window shortly before 6 a.m. and, when she heard noises, she called out to see who was inside.
Authorities said the intruders confronted the homeowner and demanded cash from her. When she told them that she didnt have any money, they beat her. Officials said the robbers then left the home, and it appears they left empty-handed.
Officers found the victim in a room. She was transported to a hospital, where as of Saturday evening she was expected to survive her injuries.
Police searched the area, and a Sheriffs Office K-9 unit assisted in looking for suspects. They were unsuccessful in finding the persons responsible for the beating.
Officials only got a vague description of the suspects.
Police declined to release the victims name, the hospital she was taken to or the extent of her injuries.
A relative of the victim, contacted by the Star-Banner, declined comment.

In Ocala? Damn. Most of the people I know who LIVE in Ocala are gun toting rednecks. Surprised granny didn’t respond with her 20 ga.
Prayers up for her.
It doesn’t fit the narrative or the agenda so it didn’t actually happen.
I'm also pinging several Florida FReepers to this one.
This is particularly heinous - even my words fail me sometimes...

Ocala used to be such a peaceful place.
Prayers for this poor woman.
This style of the knock-out game is getting more and more perverse. Reports of young Trayvons beating, raping and even killing elderly white people is becoming very common.
Incredible! Very very sorry to hear about your Great Aunt. People like her built this nation. They survived 2 world wars and the depression, only to live long enough to see their legacy squandered on a bunch of ungrateful worthless know nothings.
Hopefully she is able to recover and resume her life and the criminals are brought to justice.
Find them. Kill them. Cremate them. Scatter them.
Ya gotta feel bad for folks who back in the 20s and 30s were probably thinking that we need more integration only to be abused in their 80s and 90s by folks who only see them as a white devil.
Lynchings. Back in the 20’s and 30’s, there were options out there to avoid theses types of black on white crimes we see happening every day.
If our legal and judicial systems are broken and ineffective, then vigilantism will be a natural result.
As will happen to the millennials of the same mindset during the 2080’s.
Doesn't need to. Everyone already knows.
No the article did not even mention any description of the perps, other than they were males. I sort of suspected they were "Amish." I guess it was probably payback for Charleston.
Oh well, just another black on white attack on the elderly.
If she survives the hospital, and still has any capability, the woman should be given a “ladies’ gun”, and taught how to use it, along with a push button emergency alert necklace.
Each year when they come out with the list of most violent small cities, Ocala is usually pretty high up on the rankings.
Beating vs Shot in The Head
Major difference in description of the attack. Was she shot in the head in an effort to kill her, and they failed?
Scatter them...Nah flush them so they don’t pollute the country side or seas
We were told that she was both beaten and then shot. Not sure why it doesn’t say that in the article. Unless to downplay the severity.
