A multi-agency manhunt is underway for Travis Boys, the 33-year-old accused of fatally shooting veteran NOPD Officer Daryle Holloway Saturday morning (June 20) while being transported in the back of Holloway's police vehicle.
Boys was arrested for aggravated assault and on his way to Central Lockup around 8 a.m. when he somehow managed to maneuver his hands -- which were handcuffed behind his back -- to his front and make his way through an opening in the cage inside Holloway's vehicle, said NOPD Superintendent Michael Harrison. He and Holloway fought, Harrison said, before Boys managed to fatally shoot the 22-year veteran officer and father.

Yes, he was turning his life around, an aspiring rapper, father of several young children, about to go to college and/or join the Marines.... Did I miss anything?

What happened to the cop that was found shot in his car? Did they catch the killer?
To: stuck_in_new_orleans
I have not heard anything more about it, which is unusual. I’m thinking it was a lone gunman who is smart enough to keep his mouth shut.

Not bad. Your sense of humor, may be idiot proof.

I bet that nobody in the killer thugs neighborhood would dare to call the cops even if they knew the killer lived next door to them.
I'll take it one step further, you think any of the LEO haters here will step in for his defense?

When you live in a state that is 1/3 black you learn that you all have to get along. If you get outside of the bigger cities People are very nice and friendly.

There’ve been a lot of killings or attempted killings of witnesses in New York. Also, the criminals try to intimidate jurors or prospective jurors. I’ve seen it happen.
And that was in a courtroom with armed personnel all around. So I can imagine that if you’re living next door to Thuggo, you’d be pretty scared. I actually think there needs to be more police support in these areas, but with politics now I don’t think they’ll get it.

...he somehow managed to maneuver his hands -- which were handcuffed behind his back -- to his front and make his way through an opening in the cage inside Holloway's vehicle... This is really weird. He defeated two levels of restraint AND got the cop's gun in the front seat!? I wouldn't have thought such a thing was possible.

But there are quite a few posters who need for them to exist. I wonder why that is?

LOL, was that true? haha Reminds me of the Walking Dead episode where they finally surround the cannibal guy and he asked Rick Grimes “why didn’t you shoot us outside when you had the chance?” Rick Grimes: ‘we didn’t want to waste ammo.”
