Nice.
On planet Obama?
Certainly seems like his line of thinking.
On Thursday, Russia's ambassador to Sweden, Viktor Tatarintsev, hit out in an interview with the Dagens Nyheter daily at what he called an aggressive propaganda campaign by Swedish media.
Russia is often described as an attacker who only thinks of conducting wars and threatening others. But I can guarantee that Sweden, which is an alliance-free nation, is not part of any military plans by Russian authorities. Sweden is not a target for our armed troops, he said.
However, he underlined that if Sweden were to abandon its alliance neutrality and join the Western military organization, Russia would adopt counter measures.

It's all a misunderstanding. /sarc
Hey Vlad!
That’s kinda the point of Sweden joining NATO!
To be able to deal with your thuggish threats!
Er I post to give my opinion, why does this upset you? Did I not take a side, your side and it upset you?
I thought Sweden was already part of NATO???
Ping.
I have no idea what you’re talking about....Sweden has been a nonaligned country for a couple of centuries. Only Nazi Germany ever threatened that status.
Hey quota boy,
Go ahead,
Draw another red line ya jug earred dope.
No, I’m not upset. Your opinion is, as you’ve indicated, indifference. Congratulations. You’re contributing a lot with your opinion. NOT.
No, they stayed out of WWII and pretty much did Hitler’s bidding to avoid his retribution.
Thanks for the info, I did not know. I assumed because I served with Swede soldiers at a NATO command.
The Swedes really are toying with joining NATO, but likely as part of a Scandinavian coalition. Pre-WW1, Norway and Sweden had a very close military relationship.
The Russians will really come unglued when/if Finland joins NATO. Yes, there was an agreement they would not, but that agreement was with a country that no longer exists.
I think in Hungary’s case it would have been welcomed with open arms. Imagine what a thumb in Khruschev’s eye it would have been to have a NATO Hungary on his doorstep. As for Ukraine, I think some NATO countries—notably Germany—shamefully wussed out, and would have voted against membership.
Putin feels comfortable bullying Sweden after having received a promise of flexibility from you-know-who *and* after having been allowed to annex a huge chunk of a sovereign neighbor by you-know-who.
Bingo - Obola’s treasonous 2012 flexibility after the elections to Putin stunned me.
However, what I can’t grasp is if there is cooperation and collusion between Obola and Putin, how does that square with our sanctions against Russia that have caused real financial pain there?
In your opinion of course LOL.
You wrote that you couldn’t care less. So that’s not my opinion. That’s your statement. And I’m sure you are laughing out loud, like some loon without a clue what he’s saying or why he is saying it.
Are you upset because I never took a side when you asked? It’s a message board, that is it pure and simple so don’t take it to heart.
No, I am not upset. I think you’re the type of poster who contributes nothing and is just a weirdo. I think this is exactly what you want, though, protracted discussion not about the topic but about your weirdness. You’re like a fly or a gnat.
Note to McGruff, that polling doesn’t help you at all.
Germany is currently moving tanks into Poland in response to their request for NATO strengthening it’s defenses.
