No, they stayed out of WWII and pretty much did Hitler’s bidding to avoid his retribution.

The Swedes really are toying with joining NATO, but likely as part of a Scandinavian coalition. Pre-WW1, Norway and Sweden had a very close military relationship.
The Russians will really come unglued when/if Finland joins NATO. Yes, there was an agreement they would not, but that agreement was with a country that no longer exists.
