Putin feels a need to bully Sweden as well with threats and intimidation.

Ukraine should have joined NATO as soon as it’s government changed. If it had, it would sill have Crimea and the fighting in the eastern part would not be such a problem (no Russian troops). Hell, for that matter Imre Nagy should have had Hungary join NATO back in 1956 as soon as Rakosi was ousted. There never would have been a Soviet invasion. Hindsight is 20/20.

No military plans for Sweden eh? Meanwhile the Russkies have been poking around with their submarines and jets around Sweden’s borders. How to tell when a Russkie commie lies? His lips are moving.

Russian Ambassador Viktor Tatarintsev told Dagens Nyheter that Russia does not have any military plans against Sweden, in line with Stockholm's alliance neutrality. Well, their submarines certainly do a lot of non-military stuff in Swedish waters.

IBTP - In before the Putinistas.
They'll be along any second to condemn Sweden and tell you that any reports of Soviet/Putinstan actions near Sweden are a lie.

Putin feels a need to bully Sweden as well with threats and intimidation. Putin feels comfortable bullying Sweden after having received a promise of flexibility from you-know-who *and* after having been allowed to annex a huge chunk of a sovereign neighbor by you-know-who.
To: manc
Sweden wont join, this is yet another piece of sensational so called journalism. The USSR 2.0 routinely sends its subs into Swedish waters and its jets into Swedish airspace.Add to that the fact that Sweden has become the rape capital of Europe (courtesy of "Asians" in their midst) and you realize that they're very probably frightened."Neutrality" makes Vlad Putin grin from ear to ear (as do promises of flexibility).

In 1937, the Brits were not going to fight the Nazis, either. And in November 1941, the US was not keen for fighting Japan or the Nazis. Bad behavior by a belligerent bully like Putin can change minds.

Ukraine should have joined NATO as soon as its government changed. That's not how acceptance into NATO works...thankfully.
