The gunman who killed nine people during a Bible study meeting at Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church in Charleston, South Carolina, spewed a message of hate. Sylvia Johnson—a cousin of church pastor Clementa Pinckney, who was killed in the attack—says a survivor told her the gunman reloaded five times. “He just said ‘I have to do it,’” Johnson reports the survivor saying. “‘You rape our women and you’re taking over the country. You have to go.’” Earlier, a local NAACP official said the killer told one woman, who has not been identified, that she was allowed to live so that she can tell everyone else what happened. Police confirmed that at least three people survived the attack, and that the gunman sat with the prayer group for at least an hour before he began to shoot.
Agree on all counts. Something or someone radicalized this nut. We need to figure out who and how.
Question is, can that be determined if he’s not taken alive? His FB stuff doesn’t seem to be indactive, one way or another, and people on his Friends list are running away from him as fast as they can.
Well, seems like he's been taken alive, so hopefully some information will come out. Not sure to make of the FB friend list. Was he really friends with all of those black folks - plenty of folks his age will have basically everyone in their HS on their friend list? Either way, black friends or no black friends, what the hell happened that drove him to do what he did? I agree that we need to figure out who and how - especially who (if there is a who).
Weirdly there were two episodes of “Murder in the First” that depict 2 young men slaughtering kids on a bus. The 2nd episode ended with the disaffected on the run shooter taking one in the dome. Aired Monday - this happened Wednesday, wonder if he was a viewer?
I will say that for a person that age to have that few facebook friends is already a sign of a strange-o.
It would be strange for someone his age not to have a large number of facebook friends. I haven't actually seen the friend list (and don't know the number myself) - had just read reports that he had some black FB friends.

Well, Obama was true to form. It wasn't enough to lament and remember the nine murdered in cold blood in his statement, he had to interject a gun control issue. Obama and his ilk are going to use this as a major incident to further Holder's and his agenda that so far has failed miserably. I hope the US public doesn't buy it but the next two weeks will be brutal.
