Donald Trump may be the man America needs. Having been through four bankruptcies, the ridiculous buffoon with the worst taste since Caligula is uniquely positioned to lead the most indebted organization in the history of the human race.
The Trump conglomerate is the Argentina of limited-liability companies, having been in bankruptcy as recently as 2009. To be sure,a lot of companies went bankrupt around then. The Trump gang went bankrupt in 2004,too,and in 2001. Before that, Trump was in bankruptcy court back in 1991 when his Taj Mahal casino in Atlantic Citythe nations first casino-cum-strip-club, an aesthetic crime against humanity that is tacky by the standards of Atlantic Cityturned out to be such a loser that Trump could not make his debt payments.
The closing of that casino has been announced at least twiceit was supposed to shut its doors in December, but it limps on.
Donald Trump, being Donald Trump, announced his candidacy at Trump Plaza, making a weird grand entrance via escalatorgoing down, of course, the symbolism of which is lost on that witless ape. But who could witness that scenethe self-made man who started with nothing but a modest portfolio of 27,000 New York City properties acquired by his millionaire slumlord father, barely out of his latest bankruptcy and possibly headed for another one as the casino/jiggle-joint bearing his name sinks into the filthy mire of the one U.S. city that makes Las Vegas look respectable, a reality-television grotesque with his plastic-surgery-disaster wife, grunting like a baboon about our countrys brand and his own vast wealthand not see the peerless sign of our times?
On the substance, Trump ishow to put it gently? Oh, why bother!an ass. Not just an ass, but an ass of exceptionally intense asininity........

That’s a lot of hate.
“Overall in the 2006 election cycle, Trump and his son, Donald Trump Jr., donated $77,200 to Democrats versus only $24,250 on Republicans. Looking back to the 2004 cycle, the pair donated $40,500 to Democrats and only $17,250 to the GOP.....................”
Big whip. All the big businessmen, as well as all financial institutions big and small, give to both sides. Because they are regulated by them, by whichever side is in office at the time. So business people hedge their bets, if they want to stay in business. You are stupid business-wise if you don’t. But it appears some here can’t understand the obvious. Plus The Donald in particular, being in New York, works in an environment entirely hostile to Republicans.
Well, The Donald just announced he is running for President as a Republican, not a Democrat. That in itself is a big step for this man to take, and a gutsy one. His true colors are showing now, because he is in a position and at an age where he doesn’t have to obfuscate any more. He’s got more cajones than many in this society for the issues he is willing to take on and speak honestly about. I’m all for him running, and the hits he is taking from the MSM, and from the RINO’s in particular (see too many on Fox News, in particular the horrid Dana Perino as an example) and this really vile hit piece from a RINO magazine, the National Review. Disgusting.
“Once he is out of Manhattan and dealing with American Jews, Donald is out of his league”
What kind of crap is that?
truth
“truth”
No, crap.
George Will said Jeb Bush is a true conservative.
Besides being against Cruz, what is your real agenda?
All we need is for Jeb Bush to proclaim Barack Obama a true conservative, and the progressive chain will be complete.
So, I’m not quite sure. Does Kevin D. Williamson like Donald Trump or not?
Yes but I meant the other casino on the boardwalk. He sold out of it long ago. Maybe it no longer has his name. But I don’t think the Trump Taj Mahal was ever derided as in this article.
You can go on and on and I don’t want trump as president but obviously he gave to both parties. I wish any of the real candidate had the chutzpah to say some of the things he said today. They would win in a landslide.
Dana Perino is worthless except as a cover girl.
“George Will said Jeb Bush is a true conservative”
I rest my case. :-)
He also said that he and Oprah (as VP) would be a good team, that they could win.
He isn’t a conservative.
I didn’t hear much about HOW he plans to “make America great again” other than saying the words and offering red meat.
It seems you’ve lost your way on this thread.
National Review, George Will, Jeb Bush.....
If you don’t like how Kevin Williams described Donald Trump’s history — is appalled that he’s running to top the Republican presidential ticket, then defend Trump, instead of using tactics to deflect from the topic of the thread.
I can not believe the FReepers defending the “short-fingered vulgarian”. (ht to the old Spy Magazine)
Sixteen years ago. He never followed through then, and as all of us do as we get older, we get wiser (as did Ronald Reagan who went from Dem to Pub, you will remember). The Donald is running as a Pub, not a third party, and I fully believe he will not switch boats midstream. You may believe otherwise. Your call.
So a writer can call a white guy an ape.
LOL
