Oh, no, Monyihan and Bush meant the same thing. Bush was citing Moynihan, in fact.

Like I said, Moynihan was an honest big government Liberal. He also severely criticized the role of welfare programs on the dissolution of the family and particularly the Black family. It was Moynihan that Dan Quayle was channing in his critique of “Murphy Brown” for instance.

Iow he was an idealist who believed in big government as a force for good. Unlike todays current crop of illiberal Leftists who see it as a tool for getting their way.

I spent seven years in jobs that often celebrated an Afro-American environment. It was not unusual for whites who worked there to become immersed in the culture and identify with it.

There is no percentage requirement that defines someone as black; that would be racist. So what's wrong with someone 0% black self-identifying as black?

The whole thing of black victimhood is insane. Insane input leads to insane outcomes.
