On Saturday, MSNBC host Melissa Harris-Perry shared her thoughts about the Rachel Dolezal story with one of her guests.
Perry said:
But is it possible that she might actually be black? The best way that I know how to describe this and I want to be very careful here. Because I dont want to say its equivalent to the transgender experience.
But there is a useful language in trans and cis, which is to just to say some of us are born cis-gendered, some of us are born trans-gendered. But I wonder can it be that one would be cis-black and trans-black, that there is actually a different category of blackness, about the achievement of blackness, despite ones parentage.

Oh, come on now, folks. This is America, the land of opportunity, where people can become whatever they want. We have a senator who achieved an academic position in a leading university claiming to be an American Indian because her grandmother told her she had high cheekbones. She may even become our first female “native American” president.
Once they apply common core, we’ll all be black.
This entire thread is hilarious.
Who are these looney-tunes?
Dad just spent way too much time in the tanning salon.
MHP is wrong about most things, but it was a legitimate question to ask, even if the soundbite comes across as silly. If Bruce Jenner was "really" a woman, why can't Rachel Dolezal "really" be Black? If you can "be" some gender that doesn't correspond to your physical equipment, can you really "be" some age that doesn't correspond to your birth certificate or some race that doesn't fit your DNA or family tree?
A lot of people have asked questions like that with a view to discrediting transsexual theories. That came up on Rush's show. Using absurdity to illustrate absurdity. To be sure, that wasn't MHP's intention, but she and Rush don't end up in a wholly different place.
No matter what that woman is or wants to be——— she is a liar. And a stupid one at that, as how could she possibly think she could keep it secret forever.

We all descend from Eve.
Therefore we’re all related.
Even more recently ... We’re all descended from Noah.
Hey, Brother! (or is it Sister?)
What you have here is a big bowl of looney left pretzel logic.
Well, I must admit that I haven’t enjoyed liberal lunacy this much in a long time.
I think the point is that many of us in the United States have a mixed racial genetic make-up, that can be detected by a DNA profile, but (almost) none of us has a mixed sexual genetic make up.
Over the years, I have been astounded by the number of resumes containing falsified credentials that were easy to detect, even in the pre-Internet age.

I was watching soccer today and saw Germany playing against Thailand. There was a very obvious difference in physical including different appearances between the players of the two nations. I see differences in physical appearance of different people from different parts of the world in many situations. As such I don’t subscribe to an idea that human ‘codes’ are all the same. I can buy that all such ‘codes’ are different and go to make up the human population.
