A leading voice against a pending Asian free trade agreement is tailoring his message to the countrys grassroots conservatives, but until recently he described himself as a progressive and worked for union-backed Democrats. more...
I have not yet decided who I will be supporting this cycle but here are the candidates thus far.
Bush
Walker
Rubio
Carson
Paul
Huckabee
Cruz
Christie
Trump
Perry
-------
Kasich
Santorum
Fiorina
Graham
Jindal
Quite a few of them I do not favor giving our current president fact track authority to negotiate a huge new NAFTA like deal for the pacific basin. That you do tells me that "you're not smart enough to waste further time on.". But I try to take the time to correct a lie, "All the legitimate candidates support TPA" went I run across one.
Who do YOU suggest we support?
Why, the lesser of all evils....again.
Course, the same people said we’d hold the party’s ‘leadership’ feet to the fire. How’s THAT working out so far?? How many months did it take before the “we’ll do IF elected” became “My colleague across the aisle”?
MHO, they can ALL go to Hell; not a one (so far) any better than the rest. Let it all burn so the phoenix might arise again.
Nothing to try again about!
And I don't if every President had power to make trade deals, Obama isn't like every other President.
The fact that you guys repeating that nonsense shows me that you haven't learned anything about Obama in the last 6 years.
Giving Obama power to do anything is bad for the U.S.
No, the Left opposed it because of the unions.
Please do some homework on this.
Try learning to think.
Nope, they did not. Unions opposed it because TAA was defeated...without it, they couldn’t get KICK Backs.
I guess, therefore, you support Union kickbacks. Figures
The fact that they were willing to sell out their own workers for kickbacks is part of their own corruption.
And not relevant on why the Left opposes it at the grassroots level.
What I support is U.S. sovereignty.
We are doomed.
Yes I came to that conclusion back in the Bill Clinton days and things are much much worse now. Newt for all his faults was pro USA and had something like a spine. Today’s GOPe would be to the left of 90’s Bill Clinton!
“Do you wish to defend obamatrade?”
I think the press release stating his position on TPP and TPA gives a reasonable explanation.
I have not heard any reasonable refutation of his arguments.
Cruz has been solidly conservative for many years with a glowing track record to back up his claims.
Argue all you want about this issue, but don’t come on the forum with less than a month of your own track record of conservatism and try to sell Cruz supporters on abandoning ship.
Aint gonna happen.
Where is the defense of your obama trade?
Where have you been during the past several years of left wing destruction to our nation?
If you just now joined us here at FR because you were still in high school and are wet behind the ears when it comes to politics, your ignorance is excusable.
Either way, your one note replies to well explained posts will be ignored.
Come back when you have been here expressing conservative arguments for a few years. Then we can reassess the validity of your concerns.
Hopefully that will be during Cruz’s second term as president.
