The supposed “dem” is a tool. Cruz can’t escape his vote.
To: God'sgrrl
No he cannot. Very disappointed.

My point: Cruz isn’t a god like Obama.
To: God'sgrrl
Well, no duh. Nobody says he was...I mean, Cruz has never said he raised the water level as did the Obama. ;-)

Exactly...but many Freepers stick to the notion that TPA is evil...and yet, this guy admits the Dems are trying to torpedo conservatives...
Interesting bed fellows they make.

Often the Left and Right agree for different reasons.
Both fought against NAFTA.
Any Conservative who comes out to give Obama power in anything has lost my vote.

The fast track authority gives Obama power to make a trade deal!
The Left opposed it because it will cost jobs.
I don't care why the Left opposed it, it is evil to give Obama the right to do anything.
We put the GOP in charge to stop him and they haven't done anything since they got into power except fight to give Obama power he wants.

“we can write off Cruz”
“We” as in Democrats and liberals? Or, “we” conservatives?
Sorry, you have not been around here long enough to have ANY credibility.
Cruz has a long, proven track record as a conservative. Is he God? No. Is he Jesus Christ? No.
But he is the most solid conservative candidate we have, and even if he did err on this issue, most conservatives are not willing to see our Republic flushed down the toilette just yet by leaving the candidacy of president to a pick between a Communist Democrat and a left-wing Republican.
But we have parting gifts for you on the way out.

If you read the article the guy isn't a democratic operative.
The politics of ObamaTrade are poisonous, Ellis wrote on Wednesday at the conservative Breitbart News. Poll after poll shows a majority of Americans across the political spectrum oppose these phony free trade dealsand conservatives oppose them in even greater numbers than Democrats.
Ellis runs a site called ObamaTrade.com that takes a conservative line of attack against the free trade agreement. It features commentary by Donald Trump, former Rep. Allen West, GOP pollster Dick Morris, and Sen. Jeff Sessions (R., Ala.), a leading TPA opponent.

No, that is NOT why the Left opposed it.
Try again.
And every president has he power to make trade deals...this only makes passage through congress easier.

"all the legitimate chance candidates support it." That is simply not true. Why don't you tell us just exactly who "all the legitimate candidates" are?

Scott Walker encouraged republicans to vote for it on the eve of the vote.
Marco Rubio supports it.
Rick Perry supported it till the SHTF and he tucked his tail between his legs and quietly changed his mind.
If you’re supporting Rand Paul or Donald Trump it doesn’t matter what you think because you’re not smart enough to waste further time on.

Progressive operative Curtis Ellis surfaces again as free-trade attacker.
The [Tea Partiers] are essentially replaying the 60s protest paradigm. (Were aging boomers ourselves, so we know it when we see it.) They fancy themselves the vanguard of a revolution, when in fact they are typical self-absorbed, privileged children used to having their way now and uninhibited about complaining loudly when they dont. Its the same demographic Spiro Agnew called an effete corps of impudent snobs who characterize themselves as intellectuals.
Leading Anti-ObamaTrade Activist Is a Longtime Democrat Political Operative
Ellis unsuccessfully ran for Congress as a Democrat in 2004, 2006, and 2008. He declared himself a Tea Party candidate in a 2011 special election in which he was criticized by conservative and tea party groups as a spoiler and a fraud.
On a now-deleted page on liberal blog Talking Points Memo, Ellis described himself as a progressive Democrat, yet he has been writing for the right-wing website WorldNetDaily since October of last year.
