PALIN SLAMS OBAMATRADE AS ANOTHER ‘DON’T PASS IT ’TIL WE KNOW WHAT’S IN IT!’
Breitbart News ^ | 6-11-2015 | Sarah Palin

Posted on 06/12/2015 7:38:33 AM PDT by palin45potus

Former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin is sharing Breitbart News’ story on Facebook, following the close Rules vote ahead of Friday’s final vote on the Trade Promotion Authority (TPA) that would grant President Obama fast-track authority to finish his trade negotiations.

She also posted her reaction to the non-transparency this administration has shown in handling the Trans-Pacific Partnership trade deal, which is keeping part of the draft in a secret room on Capitol Hill.

“The secretive, hugely impacting Obamatrade deal is another behind-closed-doors fast-tracked D.C. deal that screams “don’t pass it ’til we know what’s in it!” Yet politicians are going along to get along, supporting Obama’s pet project while ignoring the public’s right to know what’s in this monumental international trade deal. This, despite the President’s track record proving he hasn’t got it in him to put American workers first,” Palin posted.

“If Congress hands this secretive deal to Obama on a silver platter, admitting to not even reading it first, then shame on us for letting another one slide. This is fast-tracked, friends. Like Obamacare, when we sounded warning bells but too many were too busy to pressure their employees (your elected politicians) to do the right thing and learn it first. Since when is Congress able to halt any bullying administration’s fast-track deals? They never have before. Didn’t we learn last time?”

The vote on TPA is expected Friday afternoon.

We can’t give Walker or Rubio a pass on this either. They should not be supporting this particular trade agreement. That said, it’s hilarious seeing Cruzers bend over backwards to give their man a pass on this. Nobody who calls themselves a conservative should vote for legislation where the details are kept from the American people, and the legislators have to gather in private to view its contents.

Sen Sessions is against both the TPA and the TPP. The TPA includes the Fast Track - for TPP, per his office.

She’s very brave. Only a brave person could have endured what she did.

“Promoters of fast-track executive authority have relied on semantic obfuscation in an effort to deny the obvious: the President’s top priority is obtaining fast-track authority because he knows it will expand his powers and allow him to cement his legacy through the formation of a new political and economic union,” Sessions said.

If, as promoters amazingly suggest, the President had more powers without fast-track, he would veto it. The authority granted in “Trade Promotion Authority” is authority transferred from Congress to the Executive and, ultimately, to international bureaucrats. The entire purpose of fast-track is for Congress to surrender its power to the Executive for six years. Legislative concessions include: control over the content of legislation, the power to fully consider that legislation on the floor, the power to keep debate open until Senate cloture is invoked, and the constitutional requirement that treaties receive a two-thirds vote. Legislation cannot even be amended.

Do we really need to give the WH, regardless of who is in it, fast track authority?

[We can’t give Walker or Rubio a pass on this either. They should not be supporting this particular trade agreement.]

Cruz, Walker, and Rubio had better WAKE UP. This is not about the money. It is about giving our sovereignty to world powers. America will never be the same if this go through. Our grandchildren will become pawns of the world.

This is another warning from God of a cursed nation.

DEUTERONOMY 27:32-34
32 Your sons and daughters will be given to another nation, and you will wear out your eyes watching for them day after day, powerless to lift a hand. 33 A people that you do not know will eat what your land and labor produce, and you will have nothing but cruel oppression all your days. 34 The sights you see will drive you mad.

Fast Track, in the past, did not empower the Executive Branch to such a degree.

In the past, Fast Track was very limited.

I still feel it is unconstitutional to make treaties “easier” to pass.

It is SUPPOSED to be difficult!

A legislature that passes bills which are hidden from everyone in a secret room, should be disbanded at best, thrown out. This is not legislation but a filthy scam; at worst this is treason. It was treason the first time they created this mockery of a process, with ACA (0bamaCare).

I am very confident that if this _law_ passes, especially using this complete abrogation of the legislative power, USA is gone; done; been there, did that (for a while).

Exactly. This turns the Constitution on its head. Instead of needing a two-thirds vote to approve a trade treaty, TPA forces Congress to come up with 60 votes to vote it down. Essentially 41 votes is all you need to approve it. An you cannot amend it.

I truly don’t get it. (Maybe I do, but....)

An extremely unpopular (worse even than GW Bush) potus in his lame duck years. Why in the world would GOP help any of his agenda?

Imagine Bush pushed for some secret deals/bills during his twilight presidency, it would be laughed out of the doors by any Dem.

Thanks KC.

I'm glad, but not surprised she is standing with Senator Sessions on this. This needs to be scuttled.

they pass it.. then implement it.. and when people want to get rid of it they say ‘its already implemented... there’s no way to get rid of it now’

they like to get it ‘woven’ into the system before people have the ability to react

This TPP “secret” bill will be public for 60 days before the vote on it. It is not the one set for a vote today.

Must be married to trade deals, cannot divorce it. Exactly the kind of crap gay marriage gay parasite Obama wants all along. It is fascism and shariah capitalism.

This stuff is straight out of Koran text interpretation found in Qatar in the methods and demands and greed.

Cruz has explained his positions in all important areas including, in detail, the TPA trade bill and the secret TPP bill. Regarding the TPP secret bill, he says it should not have been secret but it will be public for 60 days before they vote on it. That info. is at the approximate 50 minute point in his speech in Mass.

I urge everyone to listen to his very long speech and answering audience questions. You will know exactly where he stands on every important issue. Here is the link:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sznh5AjageI&feature=youtu.be

Be an informed voter and listen to what Cruz actually says instead of believing whatever someone else says about his position on important issues.
