I won’t support him if he supports the bill.
He already has. It probably wouldn't have gotten out of the US Senate without Cruz's support.
But then who will you support? I’m not happy about the Senator’s apparent support of these trade bills, but the question on my mind is who would I support if not Ted Cruz. I find most of the rest of the candidates and possible candidates to be far worse. Possible exception is Scott Walker, but (a) he hasn’t formally announced his candidacy and (b) I don’t know all that much about him, other than he fought off the unions. I’ve heard conflicting reports regarding his views on immigration, and I don’t know what his foreign policy would be if he became president. If and when I get a clearer picture of the man, I’m not going to support him.
If we can’t find a real conservative we can all get behind, the future of our republic is bleak indeed. We won’t ever find the perfect candidate, but we have to decide whether a candidate’s imperfections are serious enough to disqualify him for consideration. Otherwise, we stay home on election day and we get a Hillary or Sanders presidency. This country can’t afford either.
He already did. Cruz voted for it.
Then you will have to resurrect either Huckabee from 08 or Santorum from 12.
