Vanity: What Is Ted Cruz Doing???
6/11/2015 | me

Help! Even though it's early I've thrown my weight behind Ted Cruz already. Now I'm getting VERY nervous that I've been duped with his position on this trade bill.

What is going on? Free Republic has alot of clout; somehow we have got to flush this out of him and either clarify it was a really bad frickin dream or throw him to the trash pile and get behind someone else.

Anyone have clarity on this?

Not scared. I am working at the state level now. The Republican party can win or lose at nation/fascist level on their own..

Ted Cruz is the most conservative candidate in modern history; considerably more conservative than Reagan in my opinion. No one will perfectly satisfy every conservative voter; are we really so fickle? If we bend and break in every breeze, expect many more Obamas in our future. I would support ANY of the more conservative candidates in the field. None are perfect, but they are much better than Hitlery.

My tinfoil hat is only half on, I see no reason we need to support this deal without knowing the details. Particularly since it's initiated by the bamster, a man who has screwed up everything he has touched.

I see someone who posted a link to ten reasons not to fear the bill written by someone who hasn't read the bill and has no access to it and go wtf, why are FReepers supporting this?

So I have read that as soon as the negotiations are done wth the 11 countries we will all have 60 days to read and react before the vote happens

“Keep waiting for the perfect candidate and America will keep electing Obamas.”

Personally, I would settle for a candidate who is pro-American on all levels. That precludes anyone who votes for the Obama agenda, such as the Iranian nuclear armament deal and the secretive trade deal. Cruz jumped on both with gusto.

"Asking for a candidate that isn’t for selling out America to the gloBULLIst corporate establishment is not asking for the “perfect” candidate."

Big bump. This TPP bill seems to be a defining moment. Either you side with the American people or you side with the ruling globalist elites. It appears Ted sides with the globalists. To bad, he really looked like the real deal. I am back to "Run Sara Run".

I asked, "do you agree w/ your spouse on all things all the time?" I mean, this is the person you spend your life with, certainly you will agree with that person on everything, right? No you won't.

The point is, we don't agree 100% with anyone on everything. Period. Even though I agree that this TPA/TPP stinks to high heaven, esp. the TPP because it's done in secret, Cruz is perhaps the best conservative candidate out there now. Would you rather Jebster get the nod?

Tell all, who is that perfect candidate you will be voting for?

do you agree w/ your spouse on all things all the time?

How about this, would stayed married to your spouse who you agreed with 90% of the time but she like to f around on you?

It's like the question "other than that, how was the play Mrs. Lincoln?"

R's that voted No on TPP

Collins (R-ME)
Lee (R-UT)
Paul (R-KY)
Sessions (R-AL)
Shelby (R-AL)

The above are the only Rs in the Senate that have not sold out to the K Street gang. With only 4 conservatives loyal to the American people in the Senate I do not have much hope for the future.

Those questioning Cruz’s stance...have you called his office?

I’ve seen lotsa comments as to his position, yet not a one has indicated they’ve spoken to one of his aides.

Your mistake is thinking any republican represents conservatives.

I won’t support him if he supports the bill.

Then you will have to resurrect either Huckabee from 08 or Santorum from 12.

Conservatives were also fooled by Richard M. Nixon in 1968. It’s an endless thing.

Cruz spoke on TPP and supported it.
The liar said it could be changed later,
and admitted he did not even read it,
in its entirety.

Cruz has <48 hours to fix this, or he is TOAST.

If you’re married, do you agree with your spouse on every single issue every single time?

How silly. Apples -> oranges.

My spouse doesn’t ask for unlimited powers, or to advance globull warming and increased immigration.
