McKINNEY The McKinney police officer whose actions at a pool party disturbance last Friday went viral in a YouTube video resigned from the force on Tuesday.
"The actions of Eric Casebolt are indefensible," police Chief Greg Conley told reporters at a news conference late Tuesday afternoon, saying the officer was "out of control during the incident."
"I had 12 officers on the scene, and 11 of them performed according to their training," Conley added.
Casebolt's resignation was confirmed about one hour earlier by attorney Jane Bishkin, who told WFAA that the decision was made after a meeting with the department's internal affairs unit to review possible charges her client could face.

The chief is a coward and threw his officer under the bus. The chief would do well in Baltimore
My understanding is that they came running when they thought one of the teens might have had a gun.
Well, except for his colour...
At least 11 officers responded
absurd....she was doing television interviews the next day. He did exactly as trained in a mob situation. Technically, she was hindering an investigation, and resisting arrest. Little smartass loudmouth got what she desrved. Now he resigns...let the animals run the zoo. Never thought i would ever see this kinda nonsense.
He was never restrained. That is something the foaming at the mouth racepimps and anti-LEOs imagined after a drug binge.

Years from now, the only thing I’ll remember about this is how this clown did a Ninja barrel roll when getting ready to attack those kids.
I thought it was Officer Tackelberry from Police Academy when I first saw it. You know his shoulder still hurts too......
So where are her bruises and injuries to support your claim he put 220 pounds of force on her?
Years from now I’ll be remembering stupid posts like yours as these kids are rampaging through your neighborhood. People who live there are already reporting vandalism, even a truck was stolen and slammed into other vehicles.
Thats your future buddy
The 2nd amendment is a wonderful thing my friend
What was she charged with?
It would appear from this shot that his fellow police officers determined that he was out of control and had to restrain him.
Really?
Please let us know when that happened, sister.
1- Where is the police union? Why are they not defending Casebolt?
2- Can you imagine being in the cop’s position of trying to bring order to that madhouse of screaming, trash-talking berserk kids running in every direction? It has to be an incredibly frustrating, and potentially dangerous situation. Make a single mistake and you can lose your job and be labeled a racist. Now he is thrown under the bus with no one to defend him. That has to have an negative impact on the other cops in that department.
I think they told him to resign or be fired. I think this has nothing to do with his performance, and everything to do with their own cowardice at facing politically correct complainants.
His "resigning" makes their life easier, and that's what I think this is all about.
Ah. Something we agree on.
Good thing I don’t interpret a literally one second still through the lens of neurosis and watched the video instead.
Out of control? An exaggeration.
The “chief” must be reading FR for his crib notes...
