The Texas police officer at the center of a controversial video that showed him forcefully handcuffing and drawing his gun on a group of black teenagers at a pool party last weekend has resigned, the city’s police chief announced Tuesday.
McKinney Police Chief Greg Conley called Cpl. Eric Casebolt’s actions “indefensible” and noted that the officer, who was under investigation, “resigned on his own will.”
“As the video shows, he was out of control during the incident,” Conley said, “I had 12 officers on the scene and 11 of them performed according to their training.”
He said the internal investigation into Casebolt’s actions is now over.
“I do not condone the actions of those individuals who violated the rules of the community and showed disrespect to the security personnel on the scene and officers,” he added.

I don’t think anyone here is bemoaning 92% perfection. Certainly not me. I think the police department, as a whole, responded extremely well to this difficult situation.
I’m not criticizing the police department for their response. I’m criticizing the one officer for his response - which was most certainly not 92% perfect - and suggesting that he did not demonstrate the professionalism that policing demands.
It is not at all inconsistent to say that “the police” responded well, while at the same time saying that “that one officer” did not.

I agree. I was okay with the gun draw in light of two males approaching in a threatning manner weapon or not.
However, he simply went into the crowd like a raging bull without the other officers and created the frenzie.

Per Bank of America twitter, they are trying to fire the woman who was being attacked by the Party Organizer Tat-something. The woman whom has been all over stating that two White woman hurled slurs and ‘she beat her azz’. Without verification of any video or audio tape of the “racial slurs” causing the frackas, Bank of America is going to make the woman lose her job.
I wonder if she sat down, quiet and not disobeying the lawful order of a Police Officer, this wouldn’t have ended like this?

That money will have to come from the wealth of the citizens.

Tatiana sure got a lesson. The wrong one.
I agree that anything you could do to ensure perfection in the police department would be cost prohibitive (and impossible). I’m not saying the police department did anything wrong by hiring this guy, etc. No fault on the PD’s part whatsoever.
But once an officer proves himself to lack the temperament required of the job? At that point, the costs and risks of keeping him far outweigh the costs of hiring a replacement.
interestingly, i have not see a video supporting either Tatyana or the Woman in the fight. not supporting the allegations of the “racist statements”. Tatyana has the most to gain. show me the video/audio.
Yep, they should take their time traveling to these incidents..like the Baltimore police.
On the local FB pages many are as ticked off. If anyone says they support the cops someone calls them “RASIST”. Those posters are getting banged up! I really hope anyone who supports the Chief and Mayor, has this happen in front of THEIR house. That INCLUDES the chief and mayor. Some are calling for them to be fired.
FINALLY one poster mentioned Soros! SOMEONE else gets the connection!
It appeared he WAS going beserk, but watch the video again, he obviously thought one of the guys had a weapon which is why the other cops went after them.
