I agree. I was okay with the gun draw in light of two males approaching in a threatning manner weapon or not.
However, he simply went into the crowd like a raging bull without the other officers and created the frenzie.
I’m with you and Mark Furman on this one.
The wild cussing revealed that he had already started losing control of his emotions, and was getting hysterical.
“However, he simply went into the crowd like a raging bull without the other officers and created the frenzie.”
I agree. I didn’t see anything racial about his behavior. I think he would have behaved the exact same with an unruly all-white crowd.
Don’t know if you remember the guy shot in the Las Vegas Costco. This cop seemed to be the same sort of cop found in that incident...overbearing, too dominant, too quick to assume.
If you ever try training animals, you realize how you act is often more important than what you do. Certainly with horses - 1000 lbs of muscle but not much brain - you can be dominant without being excessively emotional about it. When your emotions go out of control, the horse’s will too...and you can create a problem where there doesn’t need to be one. Like a horse, a crowd has more muscle than brain. Calm dominance works better than screaming and running around, throwing things and people...
Yeah, Mark Fuhrman does seem on top of this.
