I disagree with William Peter Blatty on this point because I think Pope Francis is a leftist, but when Decker asked him about this, the Exorcist author said: "It is the media’s misinterpretation of his words that have created this impression, sometimes a single sentence wrapped inside a statement many pages long taken out of context." Does he have a point?

“Never in history — never! – has there been a universal yearning by all of mankind for something that does not exist.”

I have often thought this myself.

There are three things that assure me that what comes next is more life: 1. My Catholic faith

Well, good luck with that.

Human kind often questions where they will go
after they die.
They seldom ask where they were before they
were born...

As is seen with his latest environmental comments...he is being taken out of context...probably on purpose

“Never in history — never! – has there been a universal yearning by all of mankind for something that does not exist.”

But there has in the past been a universal yearning of all mankind for something that does exist.

Faith is rational, but not scientific. I have faith in reason.
