An angry man roughed up a customer at a Little Caesars Pizza restaurant in Salinas for making a crack about his moms weight, police said.
The ruckus started Sunday when a 50-year-old man told a woman she should not eat pizza because she was already overweight, police said.
The comment sent the woman into a rage. She went to her car to get a crow bar, but before she could get in any blows, her son punched the man several times in the head.

I use a #3 pencil: #2’s don’t hold a point.
Such as, "Wow! If the fire alarm goes off and we have to haul ass, looks like you will have to make two trips."
I said he was asking for it, not that he deserved it.
Poke a bear and your asking to get bit. Doesn’t necessarily mean you deserve to get eaten.
I am not in the habit of assaulting rude people. I reserve lethal force (and that's really the only kind I'm interested in) for those who pose a threat of death or grave bodily harm.
The best advice of all: Dont insult people who you do not know. I is rude, uncalled for, and may have dire consequences.
I disagree about the "best" part above. Here is even better advice: Don't resort to violence at every perceived slight or insult. It's criminal, uncalled for, and is almost guaranteed to have dire consequences.
I used to live fairly close to Washington, DC. At the time, I regularly read the 'local' crime reports. Ghetto culture is characterized by resort to lethal violence over the slightest perceived 'disrespect'. Apparently, those folks have no self-respect.
By the way I knew a couple who was in the ministry for longer than that... and they were fomenting a kind of hazing in a ministry they ran.
I became angry, prayed about it.
Never asked for the specific outcome, though... which was both died within a year.
Dumb ass. I don’t even make eye contact with the zoo animals if I can help it. If the hungry hippo wants mor blubber for the summer, hey they are her food stamps!
Talking to the street vermin is just asking for it. Better to be alive and healthy than to be right.
Tacky!
Can I share that truism with my mother in law? ;-)
Your smartazz remark offends me......I’ll get a crowbar and beat you with it....it’ll be OK!!
Its OK.
That thing on the left is opening up a bottle of FAT-FREE Ranch.
Good point.
I hope that salad dressing she’s opening is Fat Free.

“Yo mama’s so fat...”
If it was in Salinas, it would not have been Yo mama, it would have been the Mexican equivalent, Tu Madre!
My teen age sons work at a restaurant with a drive through. They have learned that when a woman orders a diet coke, she’s going to be either fat or old.
Not if I got there first.
