A police officer in the Dallas-Fort Worth area has been suspended after video footage emerged that shows him wrestle a bikini-clad girl to the ground and then point his gun at a group of unarmed teenagers.
The incident happened after McKinney Police Department received several calls on Friday night about a disturbance near the Craig Ranch North Community Pool.
Cell phone footage of the incident shows one officer arrive at the scene and start overreacting in a manner that does little to defuse the situation.

NOT A PUBLIC POOL....
A Pool in a subdivision, NOT a public pool.
Jeez, is it that hard to figure out?
You'll be happy to know that teh polices gave that guy in the cuffs a shot or two or three in the mouth off-camera...

per buzzfeed article the kid who took the vid said people also jumped the fence.
That is probably what started the ruckus.
People who live there pay association fees for upkeep of the common areas, such as the pool... —not— for a crowd to pile in.
the info from your post fits what the kid in the buzzfeed article said, others ‘jumped the pool fence’.
I’m just saying... honestly... if the’re in my yard, in my pool, on my property.... I don’t care how the cops get rid of them. If they won’t leave when told too.... it doesn’t matter to me.
I haven’t read the report, but don’t the police have tasers for this type of situation???
“But the “fact” you state are from one of the crowd that crashed this pool.”
It was an end of school party and it’s in a link someone else posted. The kids live in some rental properties in that neighborhood and sent an invitation via social media.
“...Obviously, the correct way to handle a rowdy party, and people who are ignoring orders to disperse is to politely, but firmly, ask that they turn around so that the handcuffs can be properly applied.”

You forgot the ‘/sarc’ tag on your post. What happens when they defy the “polite but firm” request? That happens routinely on the street.
“I havent read the report, but dont the police have tasers for this type of situation???”

Now that (using the taser) would really have set off the hand-wringers.
So two guys made an aggressive move toward the cop, and then retreated a split second before the cop pulled a gun.
And the anti cop whiners come out.
That doesn't make me happy, nor do necessarily I believe you or your source, whatever it may be.
I always wonder how the Founding Fathers made it through all those years without polices everywhere, unlike the America of today.
Did they hide in their closets, rocking themselves to sleep in their fear, hoping against hope that someone would invent police departments and full-time prosecutors?
It appears the Brits have the same idea.
But the fact you state are from one of the crowd that crashed this pool.

You’ve obviously lived a very sheltered life. On such private community pools (or ANY OTHER private facility) there are rules related to inviting guests. Typically the number of guests is LIMITED, frequently there is a charge for the invited guest. Just because some kid lives in the community doesn’t mean that the kid has the right to invite an unlimited number of guests.
This whole thing is similar to a teen house party where suddenly hundreds of teens show up when they hear about it. Many adults have experienced that and have had to go through the process of throwing the UNINVITED party crashers out.
Things can get out of hand. When mobs of uninvited “entitled” YUTES are descending upon a house party or pool party, things can quickly get out of hand. And it appears that things had gotten out of hand at that pool party with uninhibited Yutes pouring over the fence.
I suppose he could have bit his lip or the side of his mouth hisownself - but I doubt it...

Perhaps they tackled the kid when they caught him.

They didn’t need many police because police were given broad latitude to do their job. A felony then was usually a crime for which one could be hung.
The saying “One riot, one Ranger” was true in the west because that Ranger could do pretty much whatever he felt was best.
