Witnesses: Semi-automatic gunfire dominated biker shootout in Waco
AP via Ft Worth Star Telegram ^

First came a few pistol shots, several witnesses said, then a barrage of rifle fire during the shootout last month at a Waco restaurant favored by bikers. But authorities still have not said how many of the dead and wounded were the result of police fire.

Police have identified only one assault weapon, a semi-automatic gun that fires high-powered ammunition, among the firearms confiscated from bikers, and that was found in a locked car after the shooting ended.

Technical item: The murder CHARGE would come from a grand jury. By law, their work is secret.

The murder or other felony HOLD would come from LEOs.

Slow wslking? Absolutely!

Well...either you've done some deep homework..or you've done some time here..back then.

I'm not impressed much..either way.

Trust, but verify works for me...

Be professional, be polite...but have a plan to kill everyone you meet.

Sometime around the 2000 general election. Heard about through Drudge. Followed Drudge heavily through Monicagate.

Was in car on I-95 with radio off, near DOD headed into civilian job office when plane hit on 9/11. Had no prior knowledge of WTC till I turned radio on Was angry that I had no net in car to see Drudge / FR and see what really happening!

Jacoby's, generally hang together..........

Waco, is Waco.

I've seen Jacoby's cover for their "brother's"...and lie their asses off.

No, different than Washington, D.C. politics.

I've seen people that worked with others for 15 years..and stab them in the back.

People will never fail to disappoint you.

One would hope...that those that rule over us...Politicians, Police...would be above lying, cheating and stealing...

But if you are HERE on FREEREPUBLIC you would / should know..that's bovine scat.

Thanks for the link.

The comments are very interesting. This one caught my attention:

My question: They apparently had inside information (informants or undercover officers) warning you that for the first time in years of peaceful meetings, this particular COCI meeting is going to get violent. Otherwise, why station a SWAT team in advance? If they could call all these guys in on a Sunday afternoon just on speculation (or inside information) of problems, then why couldn’t they roust an actual judge with some criminal case history to make sure warrants were valid and not later challenged? The only answer I can come up with is they knew they could tell the JP anything they wanted to and he would go along with it.

Yeah, this S&W Airweight-642

If you get over the idea that it is referred to as the "Ladysmith" .38 Special+P, you can get into the idea that it is light, packs enough punch for short range, and has no hammer exposed to hang up in your parka pocket--and can be fired right through it if need be (Very close range only, of course).

I the Mrs. one, then I got one for me, too.

I generally favor semi-autos but the tactical advantage of being able to shoot from inside the pocket with follow-up shots readily available appealed to me. A semi-auto will jam under those circumstances.

When did you go from amateur gator wrestling to pro?

That's easy to tell. They stop wrestling amateur gators.

P.S., I’m dating myself, but at 72, memories can take a while.

It was at an ACU convention. FR DC Chapter had a booth in or near the corner. Jeanne Kirkpatrick was the main speaker. Slick was president and he had just sent a few cruise missiles somewhere, with no probably of affect.

She called him, “Our Boy president.”

RE: Have a plan. I never went to DEFCON Yellow on the streets during daytime unless I preidentified a potential threat.

Now, it’s Yellow or Orange everywhere.

What does that diamond-13 on the vest mean?

Well, if you do shallow research on the internet and believe the official law enforcement take, it means about the same thing as the flashing neon signs "Gangster Hideout!" where the gangsters are holed up in old Bugs Bunny cartoons.

If you put a little more research in it and reference what you find to your own real life experience, it means whatever the wearers of the patch think it means.

Kind of like the words "conservative" and "Republican." They mean everyone from John Birch to "severe conservative" Republican Mitt Romney, grandfather of Obamacare.
