South Carolina Sen. Lindsey Graham is ready to be commander-in-chief on day one, the Republican will say when he announces his presidential candidacy in South Carolina today, according to excerpts of his remarks as prepared for delivery.
I intend to be president not of a single party, but of a nation, he will say. I want to do more than make big government smaller. I want to help make a great nation greater.
Graham, a retired Air Force colonel, enters the race just as a fierce battle over national security rages in the Senate. The South Carolina senator a noted defense hawk stands in sharp contrast to Sen. Rand Paul, who spent Sunday night railing against anti-terrorism provisions in the PATRIOT act and just last month declared that GOP hawks have contributed to the rise of ISIS.
I want to be president to defeat the enemies trying to kill us, not just penalize them or criticize them or contain them, but defeat them, Graham, 59, will say today.

Said the spider to the flies.
Who says the Republican party isn't diversified?
Though all who serve deserve our respect, I would argue that experience as a military lawyer hardly qualifies anyone to run the military. I would pick a non-com Sergeant Major over a lawyer, any day.
They should not give military lawyers ranks that make them sound like people involved in combat operations.
Graham: "Do you think I am ready John?"
McCain: "It is time for you to carry on..Jeb is giving us rinos a bad name."
I would certainly agree...
I don't think Graham is automatically disqualified considering what POS we have in office now...
Bottom line is winning, whether it's Cruz, Walker, Rubio on the front end of the ticket to get the GOPe on board to REALLY support the whole ticket, having Graham as VP would not be a deal breaker for me...
If Bush is anywhere near the ticket...not going to waste my time voting...
I’m filling out my brackets now. I don’t have him going past the first round.
LOL...Linda Light loafers won’t even be a blip in the polls. I don’t know who he thinks his base could be in GOP primaries.
At least he’ll skim off a few “squishy/moderate” GOP primary voters from Jeb.
> Im hope he isnt our first female president.
He’s gonna go all Bruce Jenner on us!
If he wins the nomination (unlikely though), he would be the first GOP nominee who won’t get my vote in November.
I’ll throw it away on a third party candidate.
were not gonna trade a black C*** S***** for a white one.
Can’t imagine him coming up with this on his own. I figure more than one (RINO) has been selected and bribed to muddy the waters, along with making smoke to cover the donks, (democrat)
Lindsey Grim is being pushed by GOPe media.
I’ve heard him on Hugh Hewitt numerous times talking about this run.
He is using ultra-hawk rhetoric, eg that we are at war with Islam. It actually sounds good.
Yet he is not a serious candidate and knows it.
It makes zero sense for him to be running.
So we have to ask why?
Answer. He is from S. Carolina, a state where Ted Cruz is likely to run strong.
Grim has one assignment from the RNC/GOPe which is to dilute Cruz support enough that Cruz does not win S. Carolina.
lol I'd rather shoot myself in the foot than vote for that McLame RINO sycophant
lol
Yep, I think many of these candidates are in the race for the sole purpose to derail Cruz.
Heck, if enough of them get even a little traction, they can force Cruz out of the debates entirely (by saying as Fox just did, 10 is the max)
Linseed Grahamnesty, the guy who makes Liberace look butch.
Lindsey is GOPe and intends to siphon off enough South Carolins “conservatives” to smother Cruz in the crib and enable the jebster to win the “first in the South” primary - giving him a major boost.
