I would not have thought the 'sword' on a swordfish was that hard and sharp to penetrate a body. Apparently it is.

Their swords are quite hard. Not very sharp, but the force they generate swimming is great. Not a fish to trifle with in its environment.

I never caught a Swordfish but I did catch a Blue Marlin, It would have no trouble penetrating a human body.
