"If we must have an enemy at the head of Government, let it be one whom we can oppose, and for whom we are not responsible, who will not involve our party in the disgrace of his foolish and bad measures." - Alexander Hamilton |

"We don't intend to turn the Republican Party over to the traitors in the battle just ended. We will have no more of those candidates who are pledged to the same goals as our opposition and who seek our support. Turning the Party over to the so-called moderates wouldnt make any sense at all." -- President Ronald Reagan |

"If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or your arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen." - Samuel Adams |

He handled the question well, per the quote above. The last thing anyone except for Hillary needs is Cruz to get stuck on the weeds over the climate hoax when bodies are still to be recovered.

I thought global warming was to blame for the drought.
Now it’s to blame for the rain.

I guess the Galveston hurricane in 1900 was global warming, too.
Hate to break to the warmists, but Houston was built in a swamp next to the ocean.
It floods.

This is a bunch of bull crap! The rivers of Central Texas has been flooding for centuries, and that's why the Corps of Engineers have built such an extensive network of dams and flood control projects beginning in the 1800s. It's geography, not climate!!!
These people are just stupid.

CNN hit piece. I don’t see where Ted Cruz is in a bind.

A 100 year flood followed a 100 year drought. Par for the course in Texas. The Liberal answer is more government spending.

When bad weather happens or hot weather happens. It’s PROOF of human caused global warming!
But when good weather happens or cold weather happens, well... that’s just weather which is entirely different than climate!
Who do these idiots think they are fooling?
Every one of these human caused global warming fraudsters should be rounded up and thrown in jail!

The Republican presidential contender has held two press conferences over the past two days to address the flooding and the governments response. At each one, he was asked about the impact of climate change on natural disasters like the Texas flooding, and at each one, he dodged the question.
In a time of tragedy, I think its wrong to try to politicize a natural disasterand so theres plenty of time to talk about other issues, he said in response to a question on his views on climate change during a press conference on Wednesday afternoon.
That is
not dodging the question, Jaffe you ignorant s. That is the absolute correct answer. Utterly disgusting that she does indeed politicize the disaster at the expense of lives and property lost.

The question of “climate change” being the cause of the flood is so stupid that it should be ignored. Texas has always had floods like this periodically, it's flat ya’ll and it rains a lot!
