A video has recently surfaced of Marilyn Mosby, the district attorney responsible for charging six Baltimore police officers in the death of Freddie Gray, making an appearance on the popular arbitration court series Judge Judy more than a decade ago.
The video dates back to the early 2000s, in the shows fifth season, when Mosby was in college and still going by her maiden name, Marilyn James. Mosby was on the program with a rather bizarre case: She was suing business owner Ryan Johnson for damages to the apartment she lived in while at college.

""I feel like finally theres some justice served, Mosby said at the end of the episode. I tried to speak to the DA, I spoke to police officers, and finally, Judge Judy, she finally gave me justice."" Same line "Justice served" and same attitude of how the law was wrong in what they did..............and she comes from a family of policemen. Not sure how proud they might be of her... in my opinion.

“on the program with a rather bizarre case”
At the risk of sounding like a rabid racist, I have noticed that blacks often time get themselves into “bizarre” situations.

Back in the day when she looked and acted like a freshman.
2015 she looks and acts like a sophomore

OMG !!! ...how preppy!

Well, you see, it was her first exposure to the then secret white privilege and micro-aggression. The shock just flat out stunned her. Slowed her down somewhat.
Hey! It could have happened like that.

She paid up her summer rent on the college apt., complete with security system, before going home on summer break.
The business owner downstairs wanted her 4-bedroom apt for him self, wife and two kids.
He ripped out her security & trashed her apt all while telling her everything was fine while she was gone.
Jude Judy gave her expenses back about $ 1,800.00 in damages and would have awarded her 5 Grand if she would have asked for punitive damages.

...
That’s my take on this. Mosby won her case.

Judge Judy was too happy with the downstairs business owner who lived upstairs next to Mosby in a smaller, 2-bedroom apt.
She came prepared, the neighbor looked like a fool.
To: blueyon
It was probably her first acting gig.

Like her or not she did a fine job. She appeared very mature, organized and intelligent.
I have only watched the show a couple of times but I can easily say she was the best participant.
Her only mistake was not including punitive damages.
