CABOT, Pa. Rick Santorum, the brusque and deeply conservative former senator who won nearly a dozen contests in the 2012 race for the Republican nomination, announced here Wednesday that he would seek to recapture that fleeting magic by entering a crowded primary likely to be far more difficult than the last.

* Mike Huckabee: Bill Clinton with a Banjo
* Chris Cristie: Bobby Bacala should not run for POTUS
* Rick Santorum: Would make a great TV producer for EWTN
* Jeb Bush: Oh Jeez not this **** again...

* Mitt Romney: They don't sell Isuzu's here anymore Joe
* Rand Paul: A Deadhead for POTUS?
*Marco Rubio: I could have been a contenda...
And as my tagline says:
It's Cruz/Walker, or Walker/Cruz. Anything else is a Yugo with Racing Stripes.

Looks like history is about to repeat itself: the Republican contenders assuming their positions in the circular firing squad, opposing the low-info fave, Hildabeast. Who will step into Romney’s shoes this time? As long as Republicans are divided and won’t unite against the common enemy, they will lose. Dems will always win the freeloader vote.

When the time comes, I will proudly cast my vote for Cruz. He does a masterful job of spelling out conservative values in a way that makes sense to the average voter. Love...love...love Ted Cruz.

I am admittedly a diehard, ardent social conservative. Although I am also conservative in other ways, it is the social issues that primarily bring me to the table. As such, I've been observantand sometimes politically activewith regard to those issues. I have been encouraged by the seeming desire of most of our candidates to make a point to espouse their conservative credentials on those issues. Such has not always been the case. Even among those politicians not running, there seems to be a desire to let people know about their conservative creds.
But all this is occurring in our day when, if we are honest, much of the culture was has already been lost, and we are deciding basically at what rate to retreat. Where were these voices ten to twenty years ago when the battle was still winnable? At that time many denied that there even was a culture war until it was already lost. Others were (ahem) moderate and subtly working against the conservative forces, evolving as much as they dared.
But who was actually sounding the alarm? I listened for those voices. It was mostly quiet. There was a great gap between the times of Jesse Helms and that of Bobby Jindal. During that time the voice of Rick Santorum spoke for us the loudest. He took the arrows. He was the number one target of hate of the members of the Homosexual Agenda. More hated than any other politician then. More hated than any now. More than Sessions. More than Palin. More than Cruz. How many others have had their family name negatively inserted into our urban dictionaries? Look up Santorum sometimes.
I don't agree with him on all issues. But I remember when he was the primary voice of encouragement for culture warriors who were desperately trying to convince others that there was even a war going onthat there were forces wanting far more than just the ability to visit a friend in the hospital.
I haven't decided yet whom I will support. I've narrowed it down to Cruz, Santorum, and Jindal. The logistics of it all will probably cause me to back Cruz. But whomever I choose, I won't berate Santorum. I won't badmouth him as others are doing. I will respect the one who stood in the gap much more than I will respect his critics, whether on the Left or on the Right.
Go, Rick.

Someone who looks fine in person looks pudgy, even obese, on television. If you ever see any regular TV personalities in person, they look dangerously skinny.
Santorum also has a look of terror that rarely leaves his face—and never leaves it during debates.

Nobody better than Rick Santorum on understanding ISIS and defending our country.
Hope folks heard him on Mark Levin’s show today, so you’ll know what I mean.

Both Cruz and Santorum are my favorites right now, and I believe they are the best ones to fight radical Islam. They are both strong men and smart.

He is a spoiler, manipulator and a master baiter, just like his teacher Arlen Specter. In my opinion Santorum helped pave the way for the Romney debacle. He will do it again, implode other viable candidates campaigns, then drop out and support the eGop front runner.
