From the first sudden, and quite dramatic, appearance of the fanatical Islamic group known as ISIS which was largely unheard of until a year ago, on the world's stage and which promptly replaced the worn out and tired al Qaeda as the world's terrorist bogeyman, we suggested that the "straight to beheading YouTube clip" purpose behind the Saudi Arabia-funded Islamic State was a simple one: use the Jihadists as the vehicle of choice to achieve a political goal: depose of Syria's president Assad, who for years has stood in the way of a critical Qatari natural gas pipeline, one which could dethrone Russia as Europe's dominant - and belligerent - source of energy, reaching an interim climax with the unsuccessful Mediterranean Sea military build up of 2013, which nearly resulted in quasi-world war.
The narrative and the plotline were so transparent, even Russia saw right through them. Recall from September of last year:

Funny how you attack the messenger, but don't refute the actual message.
Funny... not. Only the truly gutless mock but are too afraid to refute.
Have you read the report on Judicial Watch? If not, you are a know-nothing attacking the messanger instead of the message.
Funny how many FReepers show up to mock, but have absolutely nothing to say in actual refutation. When the truth finally comes out that we have been manipulating the situation in the Middle East through both Al Qaeda and ISIS, these idiots will slink away and finally STFU.
I have no comment on the actual message. It might well be true!
As I have mentioned elsewhere, I like Zero Hedge. I visit it almost every day. But as a matter of fairness, I like to occasionally point out that ZH is not your typical news and commentary site.
Funny how when the Iraqi army was running away in 2012- 2014 the white hut blamed Maliki. So they installed a new President of Iraq ( like the US has such a great track record in installing potentates to replace other potentates) and now there is ..... Silence.
The term ISIL is more openly indicative of the caliphate incorporating the entire Levant ( buh bye Israel) which is why Obama using it is wince- worthy
It's quite simple -- there's nothing to refute, the claim is just an aging piece of agitprop, and anyone who believes it is a brainless as well as gutless idiot.
The Egyptian military kicked the US supported Muslim Brotherhood to the curb before whatever US objectives were accomplished. Egypt is busy rounding up and executing brothers from The Brotherhood. But don't count them out because The Brotherhood has quite a nice presence in US foreign affairs circles.
you must consider time as a factor
Do you think ISIS is simply a home grown collection of insurgents without any outside state sponsorship?
I agree.
You are a real smart mouth. I get news from real news sites and yes I get email from judicial watch almost 3-4 times a week. I would not use zero hedge for news. We all are pretty much aware of the weapons from Benghazi. However, do we know 100% for certain that no Reps in Congress on either the House or Senate INTEL committees had no knowledge of anything ? I don’t know for sure as McCain had his picture taken with more then one I would not trust.
One more time, they get cash, weapons, and volunteers from all over, wherever they find it. ISIS itself began as the anti-US “resistance”, indigenous to Iraq; Syria’s Assad helped them out, and Iran probably did as well, so if you’re looking for state sponsors for some reason, there you go.
Our Senate Intel Committee members and staff certainly knew much more then anyone ever told us, the public. Here is the Senate Intel Committee Report if anyone wants to read it.

Good. Glad others have already read it. I think it is very clear. The CIA under Obama used a friendly foreign Intel service to get around senate reporting requirements for the shipments out of Benghazi.
