Despite the characterization by police that the afternoon gathering at a Twin Peaks restaurant in Waco, Texas that led to Sundays bloody shooting incident was a gathering of criminal biker gangs with violent intent, the meeting appears to have been a legitimate, organized gathering of motorcycle riders meeting to discuss political issues.
The group that met was the Texas Confederation of Clubs and Independents (CoC&I) and a look at that groups website and history gives a very different impression of the groups purpose and goals than what has been said repeatedly by Waco police Sgt. W. Patrick Swanton.

Obama needed a “white” incident. Too many thug incidents lately. Texas was snookered by DOJ.
And what would people like you be saying if the cops just shut it down without the owner’s consent?
The cops weren’t present in the place but around the outside.
Their presence in the restaurant is what would have prevented this. Usually, an organizer of an event like this - or even a wedding reception, for pete’s sake - or the property owner like this will hire off-duty cops (in uniform) to simply stand around. Most of the time, their main duty is to tell people where the bathrooms are. But their presence discourages bad people from doing things they shouldn’t.
Sorry, but the restaurant owner was wrong, and the organizers - especially if they knew there were some outlaw clubs coming, as they had apparently been informed by the police - were seriously negligent.
“If cops so feared the event they could have closed it without owners consent”
You have got to be kidding.
The outcry over that action would be monumental here on FR.
.
Organized political gathering?
That headline wins the lamest spin of the day award.
This was an organized CRIME meeting. Any biker clubs there were ordered to be there by the Bandidos.
“Actually, I remember that the info at the very beginning was that the organization was a legitimate group of mostly decent bikers, but these two outlaw clubs came ready to rumble with each other and did indeed find a provocation (which can mean, Mama, he looked at me funny, make him stop) that set off their fragile criminal egos.”
The Bandidos run the Tx coalition. The coalition (Bandidos) determine who wears what and who riders where.
The Cossacks were not members but had put on a Texas bottom rocker against Bandidos rules. That feud had been going on for a few years.
The Cossacks showed up at the meeting uninvited with their ‘unauthorized’ patches.
The Bandidos showed up and the expected melee ensued.
Edward Winterhalder, former Bandido, explains:

“Over the last 40+ years, I have attended hundreds and never witnessed an altercation.”
A waitress at Twin Peaks said there was a fight everytime the gangs met there.
“Not all bikers are members of gangs. Not even a large percentage. This was supposed to be a meeting of motorcycle riders, from all walks of life, to discuss pending legislation that would affect motorcycle riders. “
I agree that there are a lot of good riders. However why don’t they purge the outlaws from their coalition?
Instead, most of the chairmen of the Tx coalition (state and local chapters) are Bandidos!
IMHO when this is all said and done either the city of Waco, the Feds or someone is going to be shelling out a lot of money. This will be a lawyers dream.

The meeting was called by the Tx Coalition of Clubs and Independents.
But looking at their website we see that the state chairmen and most of the local chapter chairmen are Bandidos!
0bama prevented the use of tear gas and bean bag rounds? The Waco SWAT has better ROE than the Border Patrol and the military in Afghanistan.

Fifty Cossacks show up uninvited at a Bandidos’ meeting with unauthorized patches and are attacked by the Bandidos and it is the fault of Waco?
In related news, the Southwest Pittsburgh Republican Committee will be meeting in a booth at Hooters on June 27.
The conspiracy theorists are acting as if information known from the beginning has been kept secret and is only now getting out.
The very first presser I saw the next morning called it a recruiting event (Political) and trouble was expected from some outside gangs. He also said that they believed that at least 4 had been shot by officers on the scene.
I was talking to a biker at the post office this morning. He said they generally notify and invite police to come down when they have bike shows in the area.
I can only speak from experience
As many here know I own a chain of washes
In Lebanon tn they have a thuggish mostly “wiggers” event called Slammin and Jammin Which I despised
Thugs armed. A dogfight on my property etc
They washed a lot but took over at dark
The cops shut them down
I prefer that I lobbied for it
Me by myself and a mere shadow of my youthful sportiness with 9 dependants or armed cops with law on their side
I think I posted it here actually
No one howled how on earth with all that well heeled law around that it was all on the owner to stop the event

Do you have more information or is this just your opinion?
I have see a number of things as to how it started as to an altercation in the bathroom that went outside all the way to one biker shooting at another. For openers there are nine bikers dead, who shot them?
FWIW, since Obeyme ascended the throne, bikers, as a whole, have become much more politically vocal and active.
They have gone from simple loyal supporters of America, vets and the military to livid activists.
Over the course of an average summer, I am around thousands of them.
I have yet to meet one single O supporter.
Quite to the contrary.
It used to be I sat around and overheard endless conversations about motors, chrome and boobs.
Now it’s politics.
Do not imagine that this has gone unnoticed.
And as we speak, nearly a million of them are either already at or are en route to Washington DC for Rolling Thunder.
Pray for them.
“In Lebanon tn they have a thuggish mostly wiggers event called Slammin and Jammin Which I despised”
Interesting. Yesterday a dude on FR gave me a link to S&J.
He said that the cops could have shut down Twin Peaks like they did his event. I looked at the link but had no idea what he meant.
Thanks for the info.
We have a lot of bike events here in Florida where I live, but fortunately they don’t attract any of the clubs involved in the Texas event. There are some problem individuals and incidents, but no gang warfare.
My daughter lives in South Carolina, where they’re bracing for the Myrtle Beach festivities (mostly black clubs). Even in this case, it’s mostly the bad behavior of individual members that is the problem.
I lived in CA for a number of years, and I know what serious bike gang warfare is. I lived in one area of SF where there were streets you never walked down, because a particular bike club had claimed them - and in fact, even in NYC (where I grew up) there was a section of the East Village where one club literally controlled the street and felt perfectly free to go out and drag unsuspecting women off the street and gang rape them. This was a “problem” for years, because of weak, politically correct policing (the gangs were all white, btw, but PC meant that all criminals are just misunderstood good guys), and it didn’t really end until Giuliani got in.
See my #25.
If you’ve got a ping list going on this would you please add me? Thanks!
