Despite the characterization by police that the afternoon gathering at a Twin Peaks restaurant in Waco, Texas that led to Sundays bloody shooting incident was a gathering of criminal biker gangs with violent intent, the meeting appears to have been a legitimate, organized gathering of motorcycle riders meeting to discuss political issues.
The group that met was the Texas Confederation of Clubs and Independents (CoC&I) and a look at that groups website and history gives a very different impression of the groups purpose and goals than what has been said repeatedly by Waco police Sgt. W. Patrick Swanton.

“The restaurant wasnt hosting the event. The event was to take place in the parking lot. “
They had reserved the outdoor patio for the event.
The waitress said the restaurant had been warned that there might be trouble at the event.
“One witness, Michelle Logan, told the Waco Tribune-Herald: There were maybe 30 guns being fired in the parking lot, maybe 100 rounds.”
There are Republicans in Pittsburgh?
Who knew...
“They had reserved the outdoor patio for the event.”
As I said, the shooting took place “outdoors”.
That is not what you said in the post.
The city of Waco is paying his room and board.
Unless he specifically said 'no cops allowed', couldn't they have simply walked in and patronized the business like any other customers?
Bttt
The famous XR-750. Wasn’t that also Mert Lawell (sp) number or Cal Rayburn’s. Bart Markel was number 4. The days of the Harley Wrecking Crew.
“This was an organized CRIME meeting.”
Yeah, because anytime the Sharks and Jets wanted to rumble they publicized the event in advance and held it in the middle of a shopping center at high noon with innocent housewives stopping in at Layne Bryant and JoAnn Fabrics, teenage girls running into Kohl’s to try on bikinis for the upcoming holiday weekend, families going out to eat after Sunday church service and the biggie having to pass through cops at the ready.
That “uninvited” hooey came from Swanton. There is no invited or uninvited. No gold engraved invitations were sent out. Anyone could have walked in and sat down in the meeting area or as a restaurant customer. Anyone could have walked through the parking lot.

‘The National Coalition of Motorcyclists and all of its local affiliates are deeply saddened by the incident that occurred on May 17, 2015, and are praying for those involved and their families. Immediately prior to the start of a Texas affiliates monthly meeting, a motorcycle club that was NOT a member of the Confederation of Clubs arrived with over 50 people and attacked members of the Confederation.’

But the Cossacks came in wearing the bottom Texas rocker!
See the photos. That was an absolute challenge to the Bandidos that could NOT be left unanswered!

Didn’t matter. The main fight was outside within sight of many cops. When the Cossacks rode in with the Texas rocker in their colors the Bandidos had to respond. And respond meant getting killed if needed. Getting sent to jail was of no concern.
And the vested dude behind.
We really need a troll list for these Waco biker massacre threads. I’ll start.

Isn’t that redundant?
