Apparently only SOME black lives matter
Khai'Lee Sampson is a 7-year-old child that suffers from severe cerebral palsy caused by an asthma attack when he was 18 months old that left him without oxygen for 45 minutes. A few weeks ago, his house was burned down during the Baltimore riots, destroying all of his medical equipment that keeps him alive.
They took everything from my child, the boy's mother, Laporsha Lawson, told The Washington Post.
The Post listed the equipment:
The wheelchair customized for KhaiLees small body, the back brace that helps him sit upright, the machine that pumps oxygen into his lungs when he stops breathing at night all were destroyed. So were the supplies for his feeding tube, his clothes, even his new swing.
The early morning fire that destroyed the family's home was started next door at a liquor store. The flames spread to the house, causing the roof to eventually collapse. It is now condemned.
"Everybody wants justice for Freddie Gray. But what about justice for KhaiLee?" Lawsom said, feeling "betrayed by her neighborhood."
It is reported that Lawson and Khai'Lee are living with her parents until they find another rental house. Help and donations have been pouring in from schools, centers, and neighbors, as well as the boy's father and other relatives.
Fundraisers online have surpassed $21,000, but that amount won't cover all of Khai'Lee's medical needs. Without a wheelchair, the 40-pound boy has to be carried around. "It's hard to carry him," Lawson said. "But I'm his mom. This is what I do."
The mother hopes she can get back into the home to see if anything is salvageable.
Umm...where’s the Dad, if I may ask?
Any man that leaves his child and mother in those circumstances is not a man. (My apologies if the father is not there because he has passed on)
The rioters thought they were the least fortunate people in the world there. They were so, so sadly mistaken!
If they wanted to have some class, they would come back and help that mother and child, and realize that misfortune is so often relative.
Oh, sweet little boy. How terrible. Seems like he has a very good mother. I hope the high profile story will bring in all the donations they need.
They want rebellion?
Bring it on, real Americans are on the verge of rebellion too.
It says that the father is donating money anyway.
If you read the article, it mentions him as contributing to recovering the boy’s needs.
This is horrible. How can we donate?
I’m glad the woman has a full set of parents herself to help. Kind of surprising, frankly.
Something about giving space to those that wanted to destroy? How’d that work out Mayor?
Read grasshopper,,it says help and donations have been pouring in from...including the boy’s father.
I just love how the MSM has not figured out why the CVS is targeted over the 7-11.
I did read the article, but somehow I missed that part. Still, it seems to me he ought to be living up to his responsibilities of being a father and husband.
“BLACK LIES MATTER!”
Ok, I’ll bite: why was the CVS targeted over the 7-11? The OP states that the boy’s house was burned down because a fire started from a neighboring liquor store. I would submit that those who burn down liquor stores aren’t thinking very many chess moves into the future, so the idea that the CVS was intentionally targeted over a 7-11 is a bit mystifying. What am I missing?
If this story went viral and money rolled in, the Baltimore degenerates would just come rob them.
7-11 does not carry narcotics. Get a grip.
If there were a Walgreens near that bitch is gone as well.
Oh, no, that's so sad. And now for this to happen. Glad that no one was injured in the fire. Prayers for this little boy and his family tonight.
White people will be the one to bail out this keed.
