One of nine bikers killed at a shootout outside a Texas restaurant was a Vietnam veteran and Purple Heart recipient whose family members dispute police claims he was in a criminal group.
An Associated Press review of Texas court records and a database maintained by the state department of public safety turned up no criminal history in Texas for Jesus Delgado Rodriguez, 65, of New Braunfels. And his son Vincent Ramirez told the San Antonio Express-News that he was not violent.

What went down at Waco — another example. No excuse for “biker gangs” bent on violence, but it looks like this encounter was carried out with the idea to “outdo their violence.”

I’m finding it VERY difficult to forgive and forget all the posters here who were feel some kinship bond with an organized crime group that specializes in murder, child molesting, prostitution, extortion, moving dope and enforcing for the Mexican cartels, and most heinous,,,,,,,motorcycle theft.

I had no idea it was released. Yes.. if you have that link. Or, is it what I read.. that only one MC person started the shooting? I had also read that many bikers ran into the the one restaurant and SWAT was in there within two short minutes. The bikers sprawled out immediately.. i.e. surrendered. Another thing not reported correctly (IMHO) is the initial media reported this incident like it was a “planned fight” between bikers from the beginning vs a biker meet of sorts where numerous types of bikers meet. With each passing day, this event isn’t standing up to what the initial reports/media discussed and isn’t passing my smell test. It makes no sense to me to arrest 170 individuals if ONE person did a shooting.
The facts aren’t even known, and 9 dead are a fantastic outcome? Thank you for removing any pretense as to who or what you are...
Does anybody know how many human heads an FMJ 7.62 mm or .338 lapua rifle round will go through?
If it turns out that all the dead folks were shot in the head or neck as has been suggested, then I’m willing to bet on a SWAT team sniper who was a bit ‘over zealous’.
I’d expect center of mass and limb shots from a handgun set-to, but not consistent head shots.
