I was musing on all this while shopping in the redneck palace today (Walmart).

I’m seeing God illuminate some problems and it isn’t pretty, nor can I claim to be utterly clean myself. Let me say I am turning my back on some bad habits.

The whole “damned” country is becoming inured and accustomed to violence of various sorts. I think we could lay to rest the idea that the US system of law can be counted upon to grind out justice with Roe v. Wade, though later developments have only underlined this.

The modern “gay rage” is part of this. What is buggery, some special loving tenderness?

What went down at Waco — another example. No excuse for “biker gangs” bent on violence, but it looks like this encounter was carried out with the idea to “outdo their violence.”

The only way back out is the peaceful yet powerful way that God illuminated through His Son, Jesus Christ.

I think there's a whole lot the police aren't revealing just yet, and until this investigation is completed we're all simply “supposing” on information we can't be certain are facts.....especially with the media reporting as they do today ....it's all about getting out “something” and be first to report so. Reporters no longer get a story...they create one with what they have even if it's wrong.

This may very well have to do with the the racketeering, drug pushing, human trafficking etc. that at least one outlaw group, who was there, is known to be heavily into.

IMHO the root cause is TV, movies, Hollywood...

I have some scars, special license plates and the VA sends me a modest rebate from my income tax each month. I have seen violence.

It is nothing like the movies. I ask people if they have ever been in a fender bender car accident? Now tell me about a movie that cranks you up the same or close to that few seconds of a wreck?

Actual violence is not something you want to experience, ever.
Actual violence would not sell, so it is candy coated to sell. The 'hero' is shot in the abdomen or has a sucking chest wound, back on line in two days.No mention of a colostomy bag, no permanent tracheostomy tube...

Nothing wrong with selling, but many cannot separate real from fiction.

They walk among us, too many times I was asked if my guys played Russian roulette!

I try to explain the concept of a metaphor, but inside want to do them some some actual violence.
