The U.S. Department of Defense confirmed Tuesday that dozens of U.S. vehicles and weapons, including tanks, armored personnel carriers, and artillery pieces, were abandoned by fleeing Iraqi troops when Islamic State forces captured the city of Ramadi in central Iraq Sunday. A Pentagon spokesman, Colonel Steve Warren, estimated that a half-dozen tanks were abandoned, a similar number of artillery pieces, a larger number of armored personnel carriers, and about 100 wheeled vehicles such as Humvees, the Associated Press reported.
The fleeing Iraqi troops and the abandonment of U.S. weapons are nearly a replay of what happened when ISIS captured the northern Iraqi city of Mosul last June. It also follows what the AP described as a pattern over the past year of Iraqi forces leaving behind arms and equipment that the U.S. has to destroy in later airstrikes against ISIS.
The rout brought renewed criticism of President Obamas strategy of limiting the U.S. role in the fight against ISIS to an air war and Special Operations missions, while relying on local and regional forces to provide the combat units for the ground war.

More of Obama’s (Jarrett’s) Treasonous battle plan.
And still people will deny the obvious.
And that’s why they can’t have nice things.
That’s the plan, man.
Hey! That is how he is supplying his buddies! Now we are sending 2000 shoulder fired anti tank weapons to the Iraqi’s so they can leave them behind when they run! Zero’s plan is working.
Kinda reminds us of the neat trick the Obama administration used to get guns to the Mexican cartels.
as the Russians used to do, the fleeing Bracke troops should be shot in the back if they run.
0bama supplies ISIS: Mission Accomplished!
If you were fleeing hostile forces, who possesed no air power, and you had a tank, wouldn’t you want to be in it?

Criticism?. Do they not understand how difficult this is for BHO? Strengthening ISIS at the expense of the US while appearing and pledging to do exactly the opposite...
The mistake we make is under estimating this President, his goals and just how far he is willing to go to ‘fundamentally change this country’. Rant and complain all you want...he is VERY effective. And a huge number of Americans STILL believe in and love this guy.
Modern nation building doesn’t work because it’s based on liberal elite unicorn thinking... The correct way is what we did with Japan after World War II. The ‘wrong’ way is everything since that time.
A fallback plan is teach ‘trained’ troops how to put all American equipment in a pile then call in an air strike... It’s better than giving the stuff to ISIS.
We shoulda left some Radar O’Reillys over there.....
Stop the madness...20 years ago we’d be storming Washington.
It will not start because no one has done maintenance on it since the Americans left. Abrams have to be babied, you just can’t jump in it and go.
They have to keep giving them weapons. Check out Al Jazera’s June 10th 2013 interview with Free Syrian Army (northern front) commander Colonel Abdel Bassett Al-Tawil. He explains very clearly that the West has 1 month to deliver weapons or they will reveal the evidence regarding the Sarin Attack (red line) operation to the world.
Obama, McCain, Graham, Clinton, they all got in bed with these people and now they are being blackmailed over a covert gas attack that was suppose to get us into Syria.
One grenade per item would have rendered everything unusable. It ain’t rocket science...
Anybody else sensing a pattern?
Don’t tell me this stuff I can’t take it. Soon we will be seeing the Taliban riding around in our vehicles.
