President Obama’s commencement address to the graduates of the United States Coast Guard Academy focused on Global Warming as a threat to national security.
The academy's motto is Scientiæ cedit mare, which is Latin for "the sea yields to knowledge".
Academics at the USCGA stress sciences and engineering majors.
I can’t help but wonder how students graduating with Bachelor of Science degrees receive this type of information.
Stoically, with all the attention and respect for the Office of POTUS that they are taught and exhibit as good Coast Guard Officers. Probably not two in the entire class believe him.

I’m also a mech engineer, took a lot of fluid dynamics and those computer simulations are a beotch even for an airplane. Now multiply that by the volume of the earth atmosphere, add in the thermo and chemical components and multiply by 100 years and you know they are back extrapolating the predictions.
Doesn’t mean CO2 has zero effect, but anyone who looks deeper knows this is a political movement, it isn’t based on the science. Besides, the data isn’t adding up, the icecaps haven’t melted, the sea isn’t rising as fast as predicted, and the satellite data isn’t helping the AGW cause.
You are using Obama as a straw man, but the most extensively used straw man is Al Gore.

I’m old enough to remember the bogus “Global Cooling” scare during the ‘70s.
So when they trotted out the “Global Warming” scare, I started looking into the temperature and CO2 records from ice cores, and found that CO2 levels followed temperature records by hundreds of years, the exact opposite of what Al Gore was claiming.
Even 2 C deg, I think the max suggested change in a CENTURY, is not enough to get in conniptions. Doesn’t matter if colder or warmer, it isn’t that big a change, and things will probably be different in a century, anyway.
The "straw man" in this observation is the president and he presented his argument, not mine.
This BS(biology) thinks it’s all BS.
How can they possibly do all that? By controlling energy, and through confiscatory tax policies.

To get your grade you cannot piss the professor off. You have to coddle him/her or baffle them with bullshit...and for Gods sake, don’t go against his teachings.
Since probably over 85% of all professors are militant, fire-breathing liberals you must run the gauntlet of memorizing what garbage they teach and what your own brain and common sense experiences and tells you.
Remember, if you please the professor you will graduate, if not you won’t get the “ticket” to join the college club and enjoy the benefits of the club in your advancement in life.

First you form a hypothesis. A hypothesis is a specific, testable prediction about what you expect to happen in your study.
A hypothesis can become a theory after it has undergone substantial testing.
