The dystopian images of Fury Road depart significantly from the Mad Max films of the 1970s and 1980s. Fury Road presents us with a world where motherhood is commodified to suit an elite class of males who wish to share their property and life ambitions only with other men. Women are hooked up to machines that pump milk from their breasts and held inside dismal barracks, gestating heirs for warlords who show no sexual interest in women. The men of this warrior ruling class derive all their ecstasy from the company of muscular young males eager to labor and soldier for each other and for their male patrons.
I doubt anyone on the production team has read Breeders: How Gay Men Destroyed the Left. Hence I am left to conclude that the movies pretext embodies everything that anti-gay opponents of surrogacy such as myself have been warning, because there is a deep-seated but suppressed anxiety running rampant in Hollywood about just how horrible our society will become if gay men are uncritically awarded everything they demand.
The male body is reduced to its muscularity and force, the female body to its breasts and capacity for birth. The elitists who run the Citadel have decided to keep these two objectified classes separate, in precisely the way that mainstream gay culture segregates gay men from lesbians, and both from the heterosexual masses who depend on male-female cooperation to found families and populate the nation.
A number of conservatives have been puzzled by the lefts simultaneous defense of gay men and Islamists. The cognitive dissonance might belie a deeper coherence: both Islamists and gay men aspire to separate men from women, albeit in different realms, to the noted benefit of men and to the obvious rejection of women as autonomous beings with dignity/rights.

Yes and no.
There’s a spiritual side to the ruination and it is the worse side, because if unremedied it crafts a hellish soul.
Can I state the painfully obvious. Real men don’t “fag” others or let themselves be “fagged.”
But, to bring in a biblical metaphor, if the salt becomes unsalty, how does it become salty again.
It would be an impossible conundrum for them or any sinner. Were it not for the personal relationship offered by God to humankind, that Christians call salvation.

Excellent point
A very interesting article.
Red vs blue states.
There was at least one gay couple among the denizens of the wasteland in the original Road Warrior. It was even a plot point when the Feral Kid kills the Golden Boy with his steel boomerang, and Wez goes berserk.
The author pretty obviously didn’t actually see the movie. There’s only one man in charge of the “Citadel”, and the place is run as a personality cult. He (the man running the Citadel) fetishizes living forever, so he maintains a harem for perpetuating himself. Women who age out of the harem are used to produce milk presumably because it symbolizes life.
The 1970s?
I thought Mad Max was released in 1980 or ‘81...
And there’s this:
“there is a deep-seated but suppressed anxiety running rampant in Hollywood about just how horrible our society will become if gay men are uncritically awarded everything they demand.”
Doesn’t sound like a movie I’ll be renting!
But the article is really sound. I worked at Studio 54 as a youth and remember the gay scene. What’s most illuminating as how many of my gay male friends would hang with me in bars and then on towards 1am, would head over to the bars in the West Village for a nice orgy. I remember one called “Sneakers.” It was a totally male world - with a lack of common sense and hygiene that brought about the AIDs crisis. That world was like ISIS only without the beheadings.
Plus, this author makes it clear the connection between gay men and their indifference and perhaps sneaking affection towards Islam - it’s another ideology that separates the men from the girls.
Why anyone (particularly a woman!) would want to see this sick movie is beyond me. But the author - obviously a reformed gay man - makes brilliant observations on gay male culture that scares the hell out of me. Of course, I live close to the world and so it is up front and personal to me.
I think it was the SA you are referring to, not the SS.
You’re as full of crap as ever.
The due penalty is what it is.
I saw the movie this past weekend. My son teenage son HAD to see it. I figured it was a bonding experience for my son and I. It was very weak on plot and basically one long chase scene. I found it hard to believe it was directed by the same guy that made the first three. Those movies actually had a plot. This was just a vehicle for special effects. My son loved the movie(16 year old). I thought it was horrible.
I did not really pick up on the pro homo message. Just the fact that all men are bad and women are good. What I did not understand is if the women dominated society by the chicks on bikes was so great, why did their lush Greenland(or whatever they called it)turn into a marshy wasteland with those things walking on stilts? Again no plot.
Yeah, I guess it’s just another hollyweird movie with multiple subliminal messages about the perversions that they endorse............I just wanted to see the 3rd installment of the action trilogy that I like but noooooo! they had to go and ruin it.
Basically you are correct. Except in the Roadwarrior there was a basic plot you could follow. This movie was just one long chase scene from beginning to end.
Give the people what they what --- That's a Kinks song. I would have done the same. Do some audiencae focus groups and see what they liked best in the MadMax/Road Warrior movies. They would translate into the chase scene and the great thing about such over the top chase scenes is they they can make billions world wide without any sub-titles neeed
Just saying but feral boy did good there and it was a great scene all in all. I would have brought back feral boy for this new Road Warrior movie
I would have said both groups are filled with immature little boys who still think girls have cooties, but whatever. :)
That first paragraph seems to describe an Islamic earthly Utopia.
I understand mad max is not even a major character.
Basically they just used the name to sell a movie
