In the wake of the Sunday shootout between outlaw biker gangs in Waco, Texas, Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America is stressing that outlaw biker gangs would not have guns if legislators expanded background checks.
According to The Hill, Moms Demand Action’s Texas leader, Angela Turner, said, “There is no single solution to ending gun violence, but we do know that background checks on all gun sales save lives and keep guns out of the wrong hands.”

Dear “Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America” [who makes up these names?], if you’d just stop kids from having sex you could eliminate outlaw biker gangs and illegal guns. Two problems solved for one and useless background checks aren’t needed. It really is that simple “Moms”.

Happened in 1974 in Baltimore. Was all over the news. He was a respected pastor to deaf parishoners. Don Schaefer helped us build a large community for the deaf in memory of my father. The 2 boys were caught and convicted. Both, I believe, are now out on parole.

I wish somebody could explain to me the reverence attached to “motherhood” that elevates their collective opinion above all else. I understand the natural maternal connection underlying need to protect their offspring and all that. But in today’s world, this connection has been so misused and abused it isn’t funny.
Exactly how is a mother’s desire to protect her child’s life any more important or more valid than the father’s?
To be clear here, I am talking about a committed father IN THE HOME and not a Maury Povich Baby Daddy.
Frankly, any time today in this world when I hear “Mothers Against.....” I think of conniving liberals with a goal that isn’t in any way traditional in my view.
I see plenty of ‘mothers’ on Jerry and Maury and Wilcos that beg to differ with that moniker.
I am not flaming you, but I wish people would stop using this “gun show loophole” mantra (or facsimiles thereof).
The FACT is that a sale between private parties at a gun show is no different than a sale between private parties in your driveway. If your state law allows the sale in your driveway, it has to allow the sale (again, PRIVATE) in the proximity of a gun show unless liberals have succeeded in changing the laws regarding gun shows.
To even deign to recognize that ‘loophole’ canard is legitimization of their belief there is a problem to start with.
