All 20 Republican lawmakers who voted against an amendment that prevents illegals from enlisting in the U.S. military refused to answer questions from Breitbart News regarding the expedited citizenship most illegals would have been eligible for once they joined the armed forces.
They also each refused to answer whether they agree with House Minority Leader Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) calling their Republican colleagues who voted for the amendment xenophobic and un-American.
That means that for now, the 20 Republicans who defected and joined Democrats in opposing the amendment are allowing Pelosis comments to remain unchallenged.
...
There is a core group of Republicans in the House who mistakenly believe they have to cast their lot with ethnic and corporate proponents of amnesty and immigration expansion in order to get re-elected, said CSIS Vaughan, referring to the 20 Republicans who voted to keep the Gallego language in the NDAA. It seems like they will vote for any type of amnesty, even if it means replacing American soldiers with illegal aliens, to curry favor with certain voter groups. But its a fools errand.
They end up alienating their fellow Republicans and on top of it the advocacy groups they are trying to pander to will never support them if there is a Democrat available and there is always a Democrat available who will out-pander on immigration issues

Article didn't name names.
The GOP KNEW Pelosi committed perjury to make
the undocumented Indonesian Moslem the DNC Candidate
(by erasing a line on the Certificate).
That was, and is, T R _ _ S _ N, but the
GiveObamaPower (GOP) Party is far too busy whoring,
staying EXEMPT, arming al Qaeda, taking kickbacks,
and covering up the Benghazi (and other) Atrocities
to care.

Those CR %’s expose them for the leftist bootlickers they are.
I trust nobody when it comes to amnesty for illegals. Any politician of either party is highly corruptible on this issue and — if they can get away with it — will partake of that forbidden fruit.
The RATs vote in total lockstep but conservatives have to fight against their own party because of cowards like this.
“Last week, the GOP-led House of Representatives approved Rep. Mo Brooks (R-AL)amendment, which removed language from the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) for 2016 that would have allowed illegal aliens who have received President Obamas Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) to serve in the military.
The amnesty language to the NDAA was inserted by Rep. Ruben Gallego (D-AZ)during the House Armed Services Committees NDAA markup.
The Brooks amendment passed even though 20 Republicans defected and voted against it, joining Pelosis Democrats.”
What the poster of this thread conveniently failed to include in his screed against the 20, is that the amendment to remove this provision passed anyways.
No thanks to these 20. Should not this be the makings of the list of Reps to "primary" in 2016? I see states like CA, WA, NY, IL & NJ but surely we can do better than this? And most especially in FL, CO, AZ and MI.
Nasty Pelosi was right about those 20 turncoats. They are un-American right along with the entire democrap party.
Those CR %s expose them for the leftist bootlickers they are.
YES!!

Agree. It’s pathetic that RINO’s are as big of - or are bigger - enemies against conservatives, than the Dims.

I used to live in McSally’s district. I’ve been saying for YEARS that she was worthless.
Did you support opposing the Brooks amendment?
Do you condone the 20 votes of Pelosi’s and Gallego’s fellow travelers?
“Side note: What a disappointing RINO putz Martha McSally (RINO-AZ) has turned out to be :(”
Then vote her out of office at the next opportunity. There is no reason to let her get a 20 year toe hold on that seat.
“Did you support opposing the Brooks amendment?
Do you condone the 20 votes of Pelosis and Gallegos fellow travelers?”
Yes, I support the Brook amendment. Whether I condone their vote or not is not important, as it did not affect the outcome of the vote.
I do not believe in cutting off our noses for spite. These reps are probably in areas that are more liberal than our safe districts and need to be aware of the nuances of their districts. Although not elected by all of the voters of the district, they are sent to Washington to represent all of the people of their district and not you.
