The president suggesting that the super successful in this country are super lucky like lotto winners.

I guess I’ll have to have hypnosis to forget getting up early and going to bed late, working so hard all those years, while hubby did the same. Our first bill was to ourselves—savings. Our children graduated from college, debt free. We got to pay the higher tuition rate, and the higher tax rates for our decades of diligence. We also have given generously to the less fortunate, of our free will.
Just when we retired, the modest interest rate we planned on to supplement our fixed income (which we paid for, and the government wasted) vanished. There’s been barely a squeak of protest in the six years that this generational theft has been going on.
So once I’m hypnotized and anesthetized, maybe I’ll come to believe that the good Life Lottery fairy unfairly bestowed us, and we must now do penance or give liberally to the Clinton and 0bama foundations “for the greater good.” But probably not.

It was either Daschle or Richard Gephardt who used to talk about the “winners of life’s lottery”. That was a good 20 years ago.
Both of then are still lobbyists.
