Florida GOP Make Electoral Decision – Few Paying Attention To What It Means….
The Conservative Treehouse ^ | 5-17-2015 | sundance

Exactly a year ago, May 2014, we shared the predictable factual activities, specific tripwires, which outline a specific path to a very specific destination.

Here’s an update:

P2106: Florida GOP decided today that the March 15 presidential primary will be "winner take all" for the 99 delegates at stake.

— Politics1.com (@Politics1com) May 17, 2015

Any questions?

Team Jeb’s path is brutally obvious to those willing to accept it. Intellectual honesty is required in order to accept what each of the tripwires represent. Here it is again, as written previously:

Then the TX Legislature needs to act and make TX winner take all as well.

From The Green Papers website, this makes the race virtually impossible for a conservative to win when all the Blue States are Winner-Take-All and all the conservative states primarily in the South are proportional, meaning even when the RINO loses, they still win.

The key to winning the statewide vote in the GOP Primary rests in South FL. The Miami-Dade GOP voters vote as 1 voting block like the AA vote. Whomever has their support at the time of the primary will win the overall state vote. The panhandle and rest of the state is not enough to offset it.

As important as Florida is in primaries and elections, this state should NEVER be WTA. The whole state is way too diverse to pull that garbage.

Shame on the FL GOP. The activists here need to have this fixed immediately.

Interesting read. It seems that even Reagan was not supposed to happen. They wanted Bush, who is of course a RINO, like his sons, and that’s being kind.

Maybe the establishment doesn’t really care who wins. They will still live the wealthy life and laugh at the peasants.

It is amazing how easily republicans can change their rules in some states but not change from OPEN to CLOSED primaries in others.

Yes, I know Florida is a CLOSED state but others should be able to more easily become CLOSED. I am tried of demos and liberals deciding the republican nominees.

The GOPe just makes rules that keep them in power. That’s what it’s all about to them — staying in power.

Over the last few years, the republican party has really been exposing itself to be a party of slime. About the only thing worse is the democrats.

I disagree, Rubio will take votes from Bush in Florida, giving Cruz or Walker an opportunity to take the state.

I think its pretty obvious — they don’t really play to win. When you lack any convictions or principles why would you want to win at anything? What would you do if you won?

The establishment is content with the status quo, the growth of big government, more spending, and generally maintaining their cushy lifestyle. Its all about them, not us.

Mark Levin said Jeb plans to overwhelm our conservatives with mega money so we need to choose one person early. When Romney was in Fla. he would not go on any conservative radio at all. He just spent big money on ads to destroy the other candidates who could not spend that kind of money. Of course, Fox news did not help either.

If a Republican were to be elected president, whoever wins will have to fight not only the Democrats but also the GOP-e which will attempt to dilute and/or derail any meaningful conservative policies. Of that we can be certain.

I hope so. I know a lady here in central Fla. who is originally from the Philippines and she likes Rubio the best.

Yes, you've nailed it. They'll sit back and enjoy their oligarchical privileges, come what may.

The GOP establishment(both Fl and RNC) pushed Crist and wrote off Rubio. History might repeat itself. Jeb has stumbled out of the gate...literally. He announced and thus came out of the gate and that announcement itself was a stumble.

In neighboring GA Rubio is running 3d with Carson and Huckabee tied for 1st with 20% each. (Huckabee won GA last time). If either Carson or Huck stumbles, Rubio will move up as he is virtually everyone’s “second choice” they will go to when their first choice stumbles.

I can’t speak for all open primaries. But in IL the open primary clearly empowers the anti-establishment voters.
In the ‘98 primary the establishment hated both R Peter Fitzgerald for Sen and D Poshard for Gov.

Massive numbers of pro-life Republicans crossed over to vote for Poshard while massive numbers of Dems crossed over to vote for Fitzgerald. Those Dems who crossed over were mostly the trades union Dems (riggers, plumbers, carpenters, etc).

In November influential anti-establishment conservatives made the mistake of supporting establishment pro-abort RINO George Ryan over pro-life Poshard and Ryan won...only to go to jail thanks to Fitzgerald also winning and being the anti-establishment clean up corruption person that the establishment feared he was.

In 2014 the pro-teachers union GOP establishment did not want Rauner. They desperately tried to recruit an establishment person (in either party) who could beat Rauner. They could not find that candidate and thus Rauner is gov, not the perfect gov by far. But a thorn in the side of the establishment.

Many other examples could be given where the open primary works against the establishment.

Mortimer Zuckerman said as much a few weeks ago on ‘’The McLaughlin Group’’. He said that he could be excited over either a Jebbie or HRC victory.
