IMO they can't fine the Patriots enough. A sleazy team for decades.
All I know for certain is the timing of the events, the lack of actual proof beyond he said/she said and the fact that people in power either serve Obama’s whims or have their companies and themselves audited.
I have no reason to think that the man that forced a useless gay player on the NFL did so because he thought gays would suddenly start buying season tickets. I have no reason to believe therefore that this too was outside the established pattern of the NFL.

For a report that has to use the word ‘probable’? You need incontrovertible evidence to render a judgment like that. Why didn’t the league investigate the 4 INDY footballs that were below spec? Why does the report allege a man could deflate 12 balls in 100 seconds but a room full of refs could only check 4 Indy balls in 12 minutes? Why was Wells hired, as a so called independent investigator, when he has strong connections to the NFL? Prediction: Brady appeals and he is suspended for one game because he did not completely cooperate with the league, not because he cheated.
Hyper inflated balls? The allegations were about the game vs Indy, two weeks earlier, when both teams played the first half with deflated balls.
And both teams played with deflated balls.
Rush will spend 2.9 hours on this tomorrow.
The NFL should have suspended Brady 8 games because he’s going to appeal the suspension and the league will cut it in half like they always do. Bill Belichick should get at least a 6 game suspension.
I saw the AFC Championship game the Patriots played against the Indianapolis Colts where the score ended up 45-7. These ‘deflated footballs’ tested 2psi under the NFL limit, folks. This is not some extraordinary advantage that caused the final score to end up 45-7.
Colts QB Andrew Luck threw two interceptions — one of them to Darrelle Revis. You’ve got to be out of your mind to throw near Revis in a championship game. The hell you think was going to happen there?
Tom Brady could have been throwing plastic frisbees, wooden croquet balls, or genuine turkey head badminton birds in that game and the score wouldn’t have been much different. The Colts looked like a sack of crap in the second half of that game.
It’s almost like the NFL loves to have NFL stuff leading the headlines in the middle of May or something.
The way the NFL has the ball protocol set up leads one to suspect that they don’t really care too much, especially as any edge would go to offense. The NFL is tremendously successful in attracting huge numbers of casual, lowest denominator fans. And to those fans, scoring = excitement.
