We knew it was a matter of when, not if, wed be hit again by Islamist terrorists on our own soil.
Just last Sunday, two ISIS-sympathizing terrorists, clad in body armor and wielding assault rifles, attacked a Muhammad Art Exhibit and Cartoon Contest in Garland, Texas. Luckily, they were killed before they could slaughter the people attending the event.
Now U.S. military bases and installations are stepping up security, as FBI Director James Comey is warning that there are hundreds, maybe thousands of people across the country who are being recruited by ISIS with orders to attack the U.S. Security at these bases is now at the same threat level as it was during the 10th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks.
America, youve just been given your wake-up call.
Clearly the Islamist threat is no longer over there. It is now in our own backyard.
Its high time our leaders in Washington stop the bickering and come up with a winning strategy to defeat ISIS, al-Qaeda, Boko Haram and the rest of the jihadists once and for all. We need a plan, not winging it.
Lets remember, it took more than 1,000 members of law enforcement to hunt down and capture one 19-year-old terrorist punk after the Boston Marathon bombings. How would we handle a future attack made up of five or 10 terrorists?
We dont have 300 million-plus military and law enforcement officers to protect us. But we do have that many people here on the homefront. There will be a time when Americans will need to fend for themselves.
Thats another reason Americans must stay vigilant in protecting the Second Amendment. Our founders created the right to bear arms for a reason.
I recently completed a Pistol Firearms Safety Course. Like learning CPR or first aid, one never knows when this basic survival tool may come in handy.
Lets face the facts that President Obama and U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry wont utter: Radical Islamist extremists are waging a holy war against America and western civilization. Denying that stark reality wont stop their march and daily massacres.
Change must be pushed from the grass roots.
Unfortunately, it is probably the opposite. Round up all opponents of Islam — even if we are just talking about insults.
That being said, I don’t think the current military or police forces would follow those orders.
No - we need to fight them on their soil so they don’t come here. But then, those Jihadist fighters will be safer in those states with restrictive gun laws ...
I'm licensed to carry -- and I do. I'll have zero issues plugging a jihadi full of holes in defense of my family, my home, my friends, etc..
And after I have to dispatch jihadi john to his 72 year old virgin in hell, I'll sleep very well that night. Won't phase me one bit.
Now WHERE have I heard this before?
Truly. Yet for some strange reason I am reminded of the arcade game Whack-A-Mole.
One strategy would be to be proactive, pre-emptive.
Following WWII in Germany all residents of Germany were subjected to de-nazification” scrutiny. Trying to determine where sentiments lay. Identify possible problem people.
Logic would argue, that a similar screening process could save lives, should it ever come to the worst of possible scenarios.
Nope, I generally don’t read newspapers. 9/11 made all clear back in 2001.
Imagine 15 or 25 just slightly more professional teams spread out all over the country.
I was referencing Mr. Obama’s election win that year in relation to your comment.
The DC snipers were profiled as disgruntled, white Vietnam vets.
On an individual basis many of us are pretty safe when it comes to the wannabes. Its large groups of people in gun free areas (all states have them) that will likely be targeted by professionals.
History will record that the war for America started in TEXAS!
Americans need to prepare to fight the Federal Government, and their minions, on their own soil.
The Federal Government is the primary threat to our security, well being, and freedom at this point in time.
“Identify possible problem people.”
Sounds a bit like Jade Helm’s actual objective. Think of all that data about people getting entered into databases.
What Good Can a Handgun Do Against an Army.....?

Probably so.
