Disturbing, but should be remembered this is the case for the prosecution, not necessarily the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth.
Saw pictures on the Daily Mail. Disgusting living conditions.
There is definitely more than one side to this story. There are some pretty serious allegations which if true (I am making no judgments) might justify some kind of intervention.
I guess he doesn’t like using passwords on pizza delivery sites.
But police brutality against Whitey will not make it to the 6 o’clock news.
I would be tempted to do something quite illegal to bring some understanding to these CPS types.
They did it because they could do it and because they don’t think the family can obtain high powered counsel.
This is a reminder to those who chime in on home school stories that the mom should never let the social worker/police in without a warrant. These folks DID NOT give permission, and their place was invaded and the children taken away anyway. Yes, their legal challenge will be stronger later, in the meantime, their ten children have been sent to who knows where.
No matter how primitive the conditions, the gvt. needs a warrant to enter private land and seize people and property. If, as reported, the kids are all healthy and happy, this sounds like tyranny to me.
The living conditions look pretty bad. However, did the cops have a warrant for the seizure of the children? I incline towards supporting the authorities in this particular case as long as they followed the proper forms. The dad sounds like a nut job, the conditions are filthy, all in all it does not look good for the parents. The kids in one photo do look happy.

Not everybody who gets in trouble with the cops or has their children taken away is a victim of unjustified government meddling.
Well, there goes my retirement idea.
I guess it is against the law to be dirt poor!!!
We can’t even raise kids here anymore without the brownshirts whisking them away.
Where is the concern for the feral youth of Baltimore and other cities?
I very much hope that the Zimmers win that case and collect a huge monetary award.
I can sympathize with that. Unfortunately, it will be the taxpayers paying any award.
But they were living green and saving energy reducing their foot print!?!
They may not be what they seem to be:
Banning them from school? Sounds pretty good actually, as long as they are receiving an education.
They are gorgeous children [not fat, pale, and hooked up to the latest electronic gizmos] and appear to be happy.
Look at the way people live in the Philippines. They live under similar conditions, but still get by and their children seem just as happy, if not more so, than many of our wealthy [spoiled brats] right here in the United States. [Sometimes not having “stuff” is good.]
I would loved to have raised our kids in somewhat similar fashion [sort of like Catholic Amish] .... as long as there was a daily Mass nearby.
