It isnt every day that judges on the D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals declare themselves shocked. But that happened on Monday when an animated three-judge panel eviscerated the IRS and Justice Department during oral argument in a case alleging the agency delayed the tax-exempt application of a pro-Israel group due to its policy views.

The judges also asked why the government had buried the key precedent in a footnote in its brief. In Direct Marketing Association v. Brohl, the Supreme Court decided that the language of the Anti-Injunction Act did not preclude cases like Z Streets. In a previous case before the D.C. Circuit, Judge Garland noted, the court also rejected the exact arguments the government was making, so in a way we have already decided every issue before us today, against you.
This won’t end until government employees are fired, stripped of their pensions, lose their law licenses and are jailed.
I heard today the IRS has 85,000 employees.
“The onion is unfolding layer by layer”
I have predicted before, that there is so much crap going on here that it WILL ooze out eventually, with or without Republican help. The Dems don’t have enough money and jobs to pay everyone off, they will have less after 2016, and book deals are very lucrative.
I suggest a couple dozen IRS managers spend 270 days in jail and ditto for anyone seeking to free them.
(Bozo can’t pardon himself)
I think now I am beginning to understand why the IRS and EPA and all the other Alphabets bought all that ammunition.
What limits has he ever recognized?
All that hollow-point (outlawed in war by the Geneva Convention) won’t do any good for a bunch of desk jockeys.
I would send her back escorted by federal police and then they would escort back to chambers whom ever she reported to.
I know you are just kidding...
but Hollow points were never outlawed, the Hague conv. did ban to the signatories
“bullets which expand or flatten easily in the human body”
NOTE the sierra match king is used by us military but does not expand, and us military may use expanding bullets in the US just not against other nations IN WAR that signed the conv.
There is an mp3 file (about 60 min) that can be downloaded - linked to the words “were incredulous”.
The three judgesChief Judge Merrick Garland,David Tatel and David Sentellewere incredulous.
Going to the article through Google search bypasses the paywall.
sorry but can’t comment on the article since the stupid-assed publisher is hiding its EDITORIAL OPINIONS behind a pay wall...
imagine hiding WHAT YOU WANT PEOPLE TO READ and YOUR VIEWS THAT YOU WANT OTHERS TO SUPPORT behind a G-D paywall!?
of ALL the parts of your publication or rag to hide from the public, why hide the one page you print to influence the most voters you can possibly reach?
Stupid Stupid Stupid newspaper. Can’t run a business worth two hoots. Well, its opinions are probably not worth reading either, if it that STUPID to actually HIDE them behind a F+++ing paywall!
Nothing lost....
that worked. Thank you.
Don’t subscribe! They automatically renewed us secretly quadrupling the rate without any justification
WE HAVE A TIE:
Id like to see the IRS treated like the Nazi SS a criminal organization and if you were ever a member, you are suspect and should probably be assumed to be a criminal and should be put on trial.
AND:
This wont end until government employees are fired, stripped of their pensions, lose their law licenses and are jailed.
A bonus? Seriously?
We should be burning down their houses!
Perhaps its because Im a self-professed Grouchy Old Curmudgeon, but I have to ask
Why is this D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals just now shocked that the IRS says it can delay the tax-exempt application of a Pro-Israel group for 270 days?
When the IRS delayed this same type of tax-exempt application for TEA party groups for more than 2 ½ years, we heard nothing from this court.
Perhaps they would care to explain this?
From the article, it sounds like the judges aren't taking the IRS's crap on this one.
The IRS needs to be disbanded.
