An investigation of the group began in late January when various law enforcement agencies across Southern California received mailed letters from the Masonic Fraternal Police Department advising that David Henry had been elected the MFPDs chief, according to a Sheriffs Departments news release.
The letters immediately created suspicion and confusion within the law enforcement community, the release said.
A short time after the letters arrived, law enforcement began getting calls from someone identifying himself as Chief Deputy Director Brandon Kiel, who asked to meet with the head of the department, the release stated.

The group, which claimed to be descendants of the medieval Catholic military order the Knights Templar, told Roosevelt their police agency had been in existence for 3,000 years and had sovereign jurisdiction in 33 states and in Mexico.
The first Masonic Fraternal Police Department was founded in 1100 B.C., according to a site identifying itself as the organizations official website.

Kiel, who resides in Los Angeles, faces charges of impersonating a peace officer and misuse of a government identification. Originally, the Sheriffs Department stated he was 36 years old but his jail record showed his age was 31.

Whut?
Son of a gun. I did not know that.
I’d like to see the paper trail behind that statement.
It should be easy enough to prove the 33 states and in Mexico part. If that can be proven, these folks should walk.
Why is it I don’t expect them to?
Interesting timing...Ms. Harris, Holder’s “little sister” is running for the U.S. Senate...
California AG aide.
No I got that...I’m trying to make sense of the article.
Hey! That's one of Obama's Christian Crusades hate groups, right?

There could be little discernible difference between what passes for the real agency and a fake one. Just because you have a real agency doesn’t mean it or its agents always pursue justice and respect citizens’ rights. Perhaps a few more fake agencies might be a good idea. Maybe the competition might force better public service by the “real” ones. Just musing .....
“No I got that...Im trying to make sense of the article.”
Hard to make sense when the article is about the senseless.
Let’s see, we’ve got the Knights Templars and the Freemasons forming their own police department. Okay I’ve got it, this reads like a bad conspiracy theory.
Bkmrk.
Ah...they are Amish.
Yeah, and they made the Falcon statute thingy with jewels all over it.
Maybe the citizen should have a free market choice of agencies to deal with? Maybe part of the corruption and abuse and violence against citizens problems — is caused by the monopolist supplier market structure we usually encounter with police- type agencies. Just musing -—
I assumed the Knights Templers, were next the Knights ears.
