The popular and outspoken Israeli singer Amir Benayoun sharply criticized US President Barack Obama in a new song and went on to compare him with the Nazi leader Adolf Hitler, to which the US Embassy in Tel Aviv responded with a condemnation.
The embassy's spokesperson told Walla!, "we were sorry to hear the repulsive descriptions. We condemn any provocative and racist language, whether it is against the president of the United States or against anyone else, and we believe that most Israelis think like us."
In the new song, which Benayoun posted in a video on Facebook this week, the singer allegorically describes how he got a cruel raven "with a small mustache" named "Obama" after the "ugly president," and tried to "inject him with a few drops of heart."
After his attempt to inject humanity in the raven failed, Benayoun sang that he was waiting for the cruel bird - which he referred to as "cruel trash" - to die, in an apparent metaphoric reference to Obama's term of office ending in 2016.
In the video a large raven is seen with a small picture of Obama's head placed in its mouth. This is not the first time Benayoun has released a song critical of Obama, after criticizing him over his attempts to try and divide Jerusalem last February.
How the song constitutes "racist language" as phrased by the embassy's condemnation remains unclear.

Oh, c’mon. It’s obviously racist because anything critical of a person of color is racist.
Obama Nazi posters on telephone poles all over America, for miles and miles.
There’s a big difference between Hitler and Obama!
For one thing, we know Hitler was not the Anti-Christ...
Also, the Germans did not vote Hitler into office (even though he was wildly popular); however, America voted the affirmative action moron into office twice. America can be so proud /sarc
It seems like an extremely fair comparison to me. “Fuhrer” is one of his many nicknames around our house.
No doubt, Hitler was a monster. But Hitler was very popular in the 1930s all the way up to 1942-3 or so until the war went against Germany.
But whatever you say about Hitler, he was passionate and obsessed (unhealthily of course) about Germany as a great, powerful and superior society.
0bama is not yet a monster. But 0bama is not a nationalist. He is a globalist and has a passion for destroying America as an economic and military power. He wants America to be weak and poor like a 3rd world country out of a desire for revenge and restitution. He has an unmet psychological need since childhood (no father figure) that has resulted in a unconscious sense of inferiority that is manifested in excessive narcissism. Communist ideology and delusions of racial victimhood have provided 0bama with the perfect rationalization for him to remain highly functional despite his psychopathology. Like many totalitarian ideologues, these beliefs have rendered his psyche impervious to the reality and consequences of his disastrous policies.
The globalists selected the perfect totalitarian nut job to destroy America.
You people just don't get it yet- ANY adverse criticism of the American mulatto illegal alien president is obviously wacis.
Did he apologize to Hitler?
“Political Correctness” is outlawing the TRUTH.
To whom was Charlie Chaplin cruel? His ex-wives? He had a mustache, didn’t he. He even imitated Hitler and imitated a Jewish barber who was imitating Hitler. Whom else could he have meant?
He makes Hitler look good.
Well she was so very on point. He is like hitler
Comparing Obama to Hitler is racist? Who’s running the embassy over there, Farakan?
I have no problem with it.
Quoth the Raven, "Nevermore".

Likely the US Embassy in Tel Aviv condemning the song was good publicity. Hope it really takes off!
