Of course I did not like his action, because I believe in criminals paying their full due to society. But I can understand why Huckabee did it. His deep Christian faith guided him.
Debates amongst primary candidates are a joke considering how many are in attendance.
They don't accomplish anything other than giving face time to all the secondary participants.
for the life of me I've never been able to figure out how half of the candidates think they actually have a chance to win the primary. I'm almost willing to suggest that there be a primary to the primary in order determine the 3 top contenders............
What disturbs me the most and the main topic I constantly get attacked for is the number of people who choose to stay home simply because their candidate didn't win the primary.
It didn't matter that Romney won the primary and the rest of the contenders's supporters stayed home, the same result would have been if say Santorum had won. The Romney voters would have stayed home........
People got to realize that there is no perfect candidate that is going to appeal to every Republican voter and by staying home is going to accomplish nothing but a victory for the Democrat party........

I completely agree about those debates. If you notice, it’s always the Republicans who have a bus full of people up on the stage, playing at running for president.
And I also agree, no candidate is perfect.
I voted for Romney in 2012. I felt really uneasy about doing it after he said what he said about homosexual adoption, because I had been praying about it for some time. And as a result, I had a spiritual crisis-—separation from God, I guess you’d call it-—that lasted a long time. And it began the day after the election. It was like day to night.
I learned a lesson, and I learned it the hard way. I can’t, and won’t, vote for someone with an R behind his name if he espouses values I know to be wrong. Next time I might not make it back into God’s graces.

If you don't support the will of the voters and stay home then you are DEFINITELY throwing your support for a democrat who does not share your values.............
It makes more sense voting for someone you only agree with 60% of the time than allowing someone who you agree with 0% of the time to take control over our country....
And as a side note, a Republican president is only as effective as the Congress and Senate that present him with the bills..........
His Christian faith should have guided him to honor his oath to uphold the laws of his state and protect its citizens. He failed abysmally to do that. How did he serve Christ by unleashing this evil on innocent citizens? It shows a lack of discernment and judgement that should concern anyone considering giving him the power to pardon again.

HT, I hardly agree with Jeb Bush on anything. He might as well BE a Democrat, for all his views. I’m not going to vote for anyone who wants to open the floodgates to illegals; the country will be destroyed just the same,whether the person who does it has an R or a D after his name.

I was not born a Christian, but from everything I have heard, if someone repents for their sins, they are forgiven by Jesus Christ, the Lord. May be those murderers in AR repented, and pastor Huckabee felt it was his Christian duty to pardon them.
That is now how my Hindu religion works. Every good deed and every sin you commit determines what kind of life you will get after re-incarnation. Sins are never forgiven. You have to pay for them by doing enough good deeds to have chance at a better life during next life.
You don’t understand. Repentance of sin means God has forgiven the person. It has absolutely nothing to do with legal punishment; the debt to society still must be paid.
Otherwise we’d have every criminal running around saying, “I’m sorry, I repent” and getting loosed onto society.
I agree, convicted criminals should be required to undergo punishment stipulated by law. But I was amazed how Christian beliefs let you off so easily for past sins. There are many sins for which one does not always get caught and convicted in a court of law. Such as adultery, stealing, even most murders go unsolved when committed by strangers.Then you get to repent and all past sins are forgiven! And you can ascend to heaven!! That is not how it works in Hinduism. We must pay for our sins by doing many more good deeds. Otherwise come back to eart in next life as a democrat :)

I think the Huck and Clinton were the worse governors Arkansas ever had!
Most AR people think now that Orval E. Faubus was their worst governor. Like the Wisconsinites who shun mention of Joe McCarthy, so do the Arkansans of Faubus. I don’t know who has been their most liberal governor, but they have had many liberal governors. Even Asa Hutchinson is not yet shown himself that much of a conservative in the realm of religious freedom.
