Every thing is about race with this family! Actually museums have always welcomed everyone, you have to act accordingly in one. You must be quiet and show respect. I am sure some parents know it is not a proper place for their children at an early age. But as a child grows they are able to follow the rules and enjoy all that a museum has to offer...Not sure why Michelle never felt welcome in one.

Museums are for literate people. Folks that don’t read don’t appreciate museums.

Maybe if it was named the Darkney Museum she might feel more comfortable.

Every thing is about race with this family! You've got that right. It would be funny, if it weren't for the very corrosive and destructive nature of their comments.
What's next? Gas stations are for white people? Stationary stores are for white people?

While I know this is a microcosm view I have been in museum/displays where kids are touching the exhibits, running all over the place, screaming/yelling and most of the time, not all, they are kids from lower income schools on a field trip.

She sure works overtime with the race issue. They WANT something to happen.
